10.01.2022 CHILDREN'S UNIVERSITY: So far we have had 24 students sign up for Children's University. As we did not start this until much later than we anticipated it is unlikely that students will graduate this year - but the good news is students can carry over their hours until next year. If anyone missed out on joining this year - we will take more registrations at the beginning of 2021. Don't forget for the students who have enrolled you will need to bring your passport back into school on the 14th September for us to validate your progress so far. Please don't panic if you haven't done anything but we would still like to see your book. Pictured below receiving their passports today are from left to right: Isobel, Alia, Liam, Bunya, Declan and Anders.

02.01.2022 Advice to Parents/Carers about Student Use of Social Media There are occasions when social media can place the wellbeing of our young people at risk. When this occurs, it is important we follow the advice of the eSafety Commissioner. The Office of the eSafety Commissioner encourages parents and carers to co-view, co-play, and ask questions about the games, and apps their children are using; and let them know you are there to support them if they are upset or uncomfortable a...bout anything they see online. The Office of the eSafety Commissioner’s website has a section specifically for parents which you are encouraged to visit for further information. It does include advice on supporting teenagers should they encounter content that is upsetting, disturbing or offensive. https://www.esafety.gov.au/parents We also encourage people who encounter such content to report it to the social media platform they’ve seen it on, or to eSafety at www.esafety.gov.au/report/illegal-harmful-content As parents/carers, if you become aware that your child/ren have viewed inappropriate or disturbing content and are concerned about their wellbeing, please contact the school for support.
