11.01.2022 At the moment, the scammers are hitting Queensland pretty hard - if you get a call from "Nicole" telling you your internet / phone is about to be disconnected - it's a scam. What happens next if you press "1" is you'll be connected to someone who says they've received errors from you, and then proceeds to "diagnose" your computer - getting you to see errors that aren't really a problem. They then guide you to give them access to your computer and this is where they do damage to your computer, install viruses and back doors and also hold you to ransom for your data.
