16.01.2022 a little something we are working on

15.01.2022 It is fantastic to finally see Korongee complete and ready to open the doors for people living with dementia. Working with Thomson Adsett, cykel has been a part of the architectural design team for Korongee Village from inception to completion. Thomson Adsett and Cykel have contributed to the design and delivery of Korongee in a meaningful and authentic way. In this case the whole is certainly greater than the sum of parts. Working with a highly collaborative team brings challenges and rewards and enriches the end product. The team consisted of Glenview, TA , CYKEL, SMG, PAPWORTH DAVIES, COVA, GANDY & ROBERTS, EQUALITY BUILDING, PIT AND SHERRY and FAIRBROTHERS.

08.01.2022 It’s been hard work but an absolute pleasure to work with the boys at Kunama on this project. Great to see it getting some traction.

06.01.2022 In collaboration with Field Labs and SolutionsWon Group Pty Ltd, we are proud to share one of our recent projects for Possability. Making WIN News Tasmania this week was the submission of the development application for the social housing and community centre in East Devonport. The initial design response was to create a space which is inclusive to the resident, but also welcoming to the broader community. The community engagement with the site was an integral component and ...has been designed to create a diverse activity base such as yoga classes, cooking classes to a community farmers market. All proposed buildings including the community spaces and landscape features are designed with universal access and implement the base principle of allowing people to live with dignity. Thanks to Lucy and the WIN team for the coverage #cykelarchitecture

04.01.2022 Our Friday flashback is to Roaring Grill, completed in 2013. With a limited budget, the design response for the project was to remove the clutter and dated finishes - allowing the existing building to reveal its history and to tell its story... http://cykelarchitecture.com.au/work/roaring-grill

03.01.2022 We are glad to see this small inner city infill housing development finally get advertised with HCC

02.01.2022 Cykel team member Dominic returned back to the office today following a six week trip exploring Europe. "I had an absolute blast of a time away, especially with a great group of mates. Venice was a highlight, if nothing else for its architecture and urban scale. Here's a shot taken overlooking the Grand Canal".
