25.01.2022 Great opportunities here :)

25.01.2022 Tomorrow on Well-Being Wednesday (1-2pm AEST on zoom) Louise & I are chatting with the wonderful One Sky Wellbeing - Lisa Jolly Naturopath. To register please go to https://www.cynthiamahoney.com.au/well-being-wednesday Lisa has a special interest in helping women find a state of calm amongst the chaos life often delivers (how good does this sound right now!). She’s in the process of creating a number of online programs to help educate women on how to achieve this through no...urishment of their nervous system. Lisa has developed her own unique way of practicing, incorporating traditional practices of nutrition, herbal medicine and homeopathic medicine as well as light therapy, Neuro-emotional Technique and bio-resonance therapy. She also runs annual health retreats to help her clients achieve optimal states of health and wellbeing. Lisa considers wellness as much more than the absence of disease or symptoms, but rather a vibrant state of whole mind, body and soul. Lisa practices both online and in a clinical setting on the Gold Coast, Queensland and is also running a one-day only online health retreat this coming Saturday 12th September. https://www.instagram.com/oneskywellbeing_naturopath/ We’d love you to join us! Grab some lunch and grab some friends to give your well-being a boost. Perfect activity for #WomensHealthWeek :)

24.01.2022 This week on Well-being Wednesday Louise and I are so looking forward to chatting with the fabulous Principal of Adelaide Hills Farm Services Belle Baker. Grab your lunch and some friends at 1pm AEST and join us to give your well-being a boost! To register please go to https://www.cynthiamahoney.com.au/well-being-wednesday Q: What do nuclear power, hot pink, Simmental cattle and mental health have in common? A: Belle Baker. ... A self-styled multipotentialite (google it!) Belle Baker has spent her working life developing a swag of skills and experiences that have traversed industries to show that a ‘mistress of none’ will get the job done. Bucking the modern trend of specialisation, Belle’s multi-faceted skills and experiences have developed a flexible, value-add approach to the environments in which she works. From managing a cattle stud, to working for brand giants Sainsbury’s (UK) and Rio Tinto, Belle is living proof that the ability to turn your hand to anything should be embraced and encouraged. Her interest in wellness and resilience stems from her own mental health journey. In 2013, suffering from crippling anxiety and self-harming, Belle began to explore the use of art as a distraction. A need to understand her anxiety; a lifelong learner and non-conformist with a strong desire to smash the status quo, Belle became interested in the science of Positive Psychology and Wellbeing. As well as using creativity as therapy, she began to refine her style, ultimately leading to the opportunity to headline an art exhibition of her own work. Now based in the Adelaide Hills, Belle is the principal of Adelaide Hills Farm Services, an emerging farm contracting business. She is a mother to Boo (cocker spaniel, self-appointed Wellbeing Officer), George (teenager) and partner to Patrick, a lover of pink gin and tonics and the occasional maker of pottery in the shape of boobs. We look forward to hearing more about Belle's experience and well-being!

21.01.2022 This week, Louise and I are celebrating 30 episodes of the WellBeing Wednesday webinars and it’s our final episode for the time being! We hope you can join us to help celebrate this milestone and review in meeting mode rather than a webinar. To register please go to: https://www.cynthiamahoney.com.au/well-being-wednesday As restrictions are easing in Victoria, we have decided that now is the right time to take a break and let you put into practice all the wellbeing tips from ...all of our presenters. We’ve had nearly 500 different people attend WBW over the past 30 weeks - some are frequent flyers and have been with us for most of our episodes. Others have come along just the once to listen to one of their friends be interviewed. Tomorrow we’re putting our wonderful participants in the spotlight at our workshop - yes it’s a workshop, not a webinar, and you will be our guest. We want to hear about your wellbeing and how you want to feel about your wellbeing. It’s a day of connection and celebration. We’ll do a little bit of meditation and celebrate the 30 weeks of Well-being Wednesday's plus we’d like you to leave us with a Well-being Planner. This will be created during our conversation so bring your ideas to contribute to how you can focus on your well-being through to a fresh start in 2021. We look forward to seeing and hearing about your well-being on Wednesday!

20.01.2022 This week on Well-Being Wednesday Louise Thomson and I speak to my wonderful friend Sally Dickinson. To register please go to https://www.cynthiamahoney.com.au/well-being-wednesday Sall now lives in Goondiwindi and works as a stakeholder engagement officer with the Murray Darling Basin Authority. She previously worked in the cotton industry in an extension and engagement role for over 8 years. Sally has spent more than 22 years engaging people, facilitating and managing pro...grams, and extending information to rural communities, growers, industry, and government groups to achieve beneficial change. She grew up on the family sheep farm in Central Victoria and it was this love of farming and a rural lifestyle that has seen her career focussed on Sustainable Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, and working with rural communities. Sall is passionate about supporting rural women and the integral role they play in agriculture and rural communities. This has seen Sally on the Wincott committee for 8 years and previously Chair for the last 3 years. Sally is equally passionate about supporting farmers and rural communities to be profitable and sustainable. After time spent working for State and Local Government in Victoria, Sally then worked in the cotton industry in Northern NSW/Southern QLD and has recently embarked on an exciting and challenging role with the Murray-Darling Basin Authority based in Goondiwindi. We look forward to hearing more about Sally's experience and well-being!

19.01.2022 International Women's Day is fast approaching on March 8th 2021. The theme for this year is #ChooseToChallenge. I had an enquiry from a women's organisation who want to give my Well-Being Wisdom Cards as a gift to participants at their IWD event which I thought was a great idea. These cards celebrate the wisdom of Australian rural women who share their tips & insights into looking after well-being. There are 30 cards featuring women from all around Australia.... This feedback from a friend about the cards was very special: Thank you for sending me a deck of your Wisdom Cards, I love them! They have such meaningful and pragmatic words of wisdom from rural women. I had the ratties in the night & opened them up, I probably read about half of them. I went back to sleep with a smile after reading the Be Good To You card from Sarah Parker. I love that the wisdom is from women like us. It makes the advice feel more attainable rather than reading a betterment book by an author who has travelled to the east end of a Tibetan mountain to find the answers to centring our busy lives (although interesting, not always practical). This is a beautiful gift. Let me know if you'd like to purchase some cards for your IWD function. #IWD2021 #leadership #internationalwomensday2021

13.01.2022 Can't wait to chat to talented & wise Nikki Thompson on Well-Being Wednesday tomorrow. To register please go to https://www.cynthiamahoney.com.au/well-being-wednesday. Nikki's life has taken her on an amazing journey to live rurally for 40 years, raise a family, work as a health practitioner & manager, & for the last 10 years as a life coach. Her heart has helped direct her path forward - beginning when she fell in love with Peter at the tender age of 18. Over the years N...ikki has followed a path that unfolded in some surprising ways led often by heart, body, & circumstances, not always planned intention! In Nikki's words, "The current times we are immersed in with COVID 19 & before that, are calling us all to awaken to a deeper truth. COVID is exposing deep flaws in our current systems & now is the time for synergy in service of collective well-being". Nikki’s passion lies in helping steward others along their journey & in helping them reconnect with their unique gifts in service of well-being & flourishing of self, others, & our universal home. The time is ripe for individual & collective well-being to be ‘The Call’ we all answer. Join Louise Thomson & I at 1pm (AEST) 19th August on Zoom. #wellbeingatwork #selfcaretips #leadership

13.01.2022 Tomorrow on Well-Being Wednesday (1-2pm AEST on Zoom) Louise and I are looking for ward to chatting with clinical psychologist, Steph Schmidt. To register please go to: https://www.cynthiamahoney.com.au/well-being-wednesday Growing up in suburban Adelaide with a supermarket at the end of the street, 5 minutes from everywhere, farming life definitely wasn’t on Steph’s radar. However, when she was 19, she met her farmer, now husband, while working at The Woolshed (the country p...ub in the city) and life took a new direction. Fast forward 14 years, Steph now lives at Worlds End, South Australia with her husband and 3 gorgeous boys (6,3 and 1 month) on their mixed enterprise farm (cropping and sheep). Steph is a Clinical Psychologist, and most recently, was awarded the 2020 SA Agrifutures Rural Women’s Award for her project to develop ACTforAg a community-based skills training program to build psychologically flexible and resilient farmers, families, and communities. In farming and family life, Steph has learnt firsthand just how important it is to be flexible and adaptive to challenging situations. After the birth of her first son, Steph developed Postnatal Depression and through this has learnt the importance of looking after herself and her own wellbeing to then be able to look after those around her. Steph and Simon farm approximately 17,000 acres across two main properties with additional leasing and sharefarming. They bought 2 properties at the start of 2018 and then were hit with the severest drought on record. Within the farm business, Steph is responsible for managing the finances as well as assisting with extra farm jobs whenever she is able, especially at shearing, seeding and harvest time. The ongoing pressure of drought, and just the everyday challenges of farming life, managing a relationship, and raising a family, together with her psychological knowledge gives Steph unique insight. Steph knows all too well that it is practice rather than knowledge that makes the difference in day to day wellbeing. Steph is passionate about sharing her learnings and skills and has a vision to see a resilient rural Australia which can face the inevitable challenges and thrive in adversity. Steph loves spending time on the farm with her husband and sons and enjoys the privilege of being able to work together as a family. She also attempts some crochet to keep her hands busy when her mind needs down time, and loves the feel of grass under her toes when she just hangs out with her kids outside. Steph is currently taking maternity leave and adapting to life as a busy family of 5, however will be running ACTforAg programs both online and face to face in communities in 2021.

12.01.2022 Love Brene! "Much of Brown’s work focuses on the ‘irreducible needs’ of humans love and belonging and during the COVID-19 pandemic, these are more important than ever. All over the world, people’s lives have been turned upside down.... We need to rethink how we’re taking care of ourselves, how we’re taking care of each other, how we’re taking care of our communities we’re going to need to rethink how we’re showing up with each other. https://www.smartcompany.com.au//brene-brown-crisis-leade/

08.01.2022 Do you want to facilitate stand-out experiences and strengthen your on-line engagement skills? If you'd like to learn about how to increase your performance and impact then Andrew Huffer - Facilitation & Community Engagement Specialist and I would love to work with you during our four-week "Facilitate Stand-out Experiences On-line. We're only working with 12 people in this program which is four modules over four weeks. For more information please see go to: https://onlinefaci...litation.com.au/onlinefacili/landing-page We've all had to adapt to the new on-line environment and many of us are using zoom and teams etc. but how many of us are actually good at it? We're hearing a lot about zoom fatigue and people being "over" getting together on-line. My question - how much of this is because many of us may have mastered the technology but haven't quite yet got our heads around how to work in the on-line environment to inspire, excite and impact effectively upon our teams and audiences? This isn't an entry-level 'Taking Charge of Zoom' program. If you're looking for that, please let us know & we can help you with those basics. We'll help you to draw upon, develop and adapt your existing skill sets in coaching, facilitation, training or leading your team to make sure you're 100% ready to take on any challenge the on-line environment may throw at you. You'll also have 12 months access to a range of guides, templates and videos to build your confidence and skills in the online space. Who is the program ideal for? People working as facilitators, coaches, presenters or team leaders who need to improve their skills and confidence in the online space. Why is it held over four weeks? We want to give you time to apply the concepts and tools and get feedback from us and program participants. How can I access the program? It will be delivered via Zoom. You'll need a decent internet connection. We recommend using a PC or laptop with a good microphone or webcam. Enrol now to... Engage your participants with a toolbox of professional online facilitation tools and techniques Inspire, excite and impact upon your teams and audiences Create interactive and memorable experiences for your participants and inject some fun into your meetings, training sessions and online workshops Gain confidence in your own online presentation and facilitation style - (building skills that will last well beyond the current COVID situation) Identify the verbal and non-verbal communication style of your audience and adapt your delivery to meet their varying needs Up-level your own business presentation style by learning from leadership and facilitation specialists Enhance and represent your team and organisation’s brand, both internally and externally Hope to see you there! #virtualfacilitation #highperformance #leadership

05.01.2022 So wonderful to facilitate my 1st face-to-face workshop since March! Good to get back on the bike. Great to work with the Melb International Flower & Garden Show Board to wrap up a strategic planning program. Here’s to a fabulous show in 2021! Thx Nursery & Garden Industry Vic Victorian Farmers Federation for the opportunity :)

05.01.2022 A logo refresh was long overdue so here they are - I'm no longer Cynthia Mahoney and Associates - its just me! Of course I still work and collaborate with great people (and have my little furry helpers Lulu and Alfie on hand) but I am my brand. Onwards and upwards for 2021 and beyond!

04.01.2022 So fabulous to facilitate my two hour virtual Well-Being Vacation workshop for the City of Greater Bendigo with funding from the Department of Health and Human Services. It was targeted at rural women living in the shire and it was a sell-out with 35 women registering. We had lots of fun and also spent time connecting with others and also doing some personal reflection on what makes a difference to our well-being. It was great to see a shift in how people felt - we did a temp...erature check at the start of the workshop (photo 2) and again at the end (photo 3) and you can see how much more positive participants were feeling. It was also fabulous to see what our participants were going to give themselves permission to do after the workshop to boost their well-being. We're going to do a one-hour check in again in two weeks to see how everyone is going and talk about wins and challenges. Thanks so much to Jenny Pendlebury from CoGB for coordinating the workshop. And thanks so much to all those women who made time to show up and be part of it. If you're interested in me running one of these well-being vacation workshops for your organisation, team or community please let me know - its a really perfect activity for our current times - with movement being restricted why should that stop us taking a little vacation to boost our well-being!

03.01.2022 Yippee! With lockdown ended Kristy Howard Inspiring Excellence and I are able to hot foot it to Echuca tomorrow to facilitate our Running Brilliant Meetings program for Murray Dairy and the stakeholders who sit on their various advisory groups and committees. We love doing this program as so many of the groups and organisation we talk to tell us that people aren't that great at running good meetings (even when they think they are - awkward but also good to know that its reall...y common!). We believe that there is always room for improvement - whether that be in talking more about how we work together effectively and understanding ourselves and others better or getting our heads around the roles required and the techniques in great meeting process. We also believe we need to look at what we do before the meeting, during the meeting and after the meeting to make a board or committee super-effective. If you'd like to talk to us about running a program for your committee, board or organisation then please let us know. PS Photos taken from a previous program when the world was normal and COVID-19 didn't exist and we were all so young and happy and free!

02.01.2022 My new co-worker Alfie (official name Alfred Gary Ablett Mahoney) has had a hard day! All those zoom meetings he’s been guest appearing at have plum tuckered him out. I’m sure many of us can relate. Hope you are able to take some me time just like Alfie is so good at. Lots of great things to learn from our furry friends. Hope his little face brings you some joy today :)

01.01.2022 I am one lucky human to have so many awesome people in my life. Sending you all lots of love and thanks
