With the Cypriot Greek Community today, we reflect on the profound effects of the Turkish Invasion in 1974.

He is from Lemona village in Paphos and lived in South Africa for many years before moving to South Australia in the 1980s. I imagine hed be in his 70s now. 11.01.2022 The president of the Cyprus Community of SA Andreas Evdokiou and executive committee member Chris Christoforou attended the season launch of the Adelaide Omonia Football Club which took place at the Cyprus Community complex. "We wish them a successful season both on and off the soccer field. We have a long history and a strong bond with the Omonia Soccer Club. They are part of us as we are part of them and we will continue to be by their side.

11.01.2022 The president of the ladies auxiliary of the Cyprus Community of SA Mrs Thekla Petrou and members of the subcommittee together with executive treasurer Mr Chris Christoforou presented a cheque of $1500 to the Dementia Australia following a successful fundraising afternoon tea which took place recently at thep Cyprus Community complex. 10.01.2022 Her excellency the High Commissioner of Cyprus in Australia Mrs Martha Mavrommatis visited the Breast Cancer Research Unit at the Basil Hetzel Institute during her recent visit in Adelaide. The head of the unit, Professor Andreas Evdokiou and president of the Cyprus Community of SA spoke about the latest developments in breast cancer research and highlighted the ongoing research collaborations between prof Evdokiou's research unit and research scientist from Cyprus Institutions. Mrs Mavrommatis engaged with research staff and students of the institute .

09.01.2022 The president of the Cyprus Community of South Australia Prof Andreas Evdokiou met in Sydney with the president of the Cyprus Parliament Mr Syllouris and the delegation of parliamentary MPs visiting Australia accompanied by her excellency the High Commissioner of Cyprus Mrs Martha Mavromati. On behalf of the Cyprus Community of SA Mr. Evdokiou welcomed the delegation and wished them every success in their mission. As a reminder of the visit Mr Syllouris presented Prof Evdokiou with a gift depicting the "Kyrenia Ship" Thank you Cyprus Community of NSW for your hospitality.

08.01.2022 Her Excellency, the High Commissioner of Cyprus in Australia Mrs Martha Mavromatis accompanied by the president of the Cyprus Community of SA, Professor Andreas Evdokiou were invited to a lunch event at the South Australian parliament hosted by the honorable Steve Georganas federal member for Adelaide and Mr Russle Worthly, member of the SA legislative council. Mrs Mavrommatis met also with the premier of SA, the honorable Steven Marshall and honorable members of the legislative council, Mrs Irene Pnevmatikos and Mrs Connie Bonaros. During her visit, Mrs Mavrommatis spoke about the latest developments pertinent to the Cyprus problem and the challenges ahead.
