25.01.2022 Round 3 of the Nutri Grain at Bulli beach, windy and choppy and cold, but awesome close racing. Also the first round of the Super Surf Teams League where all the young guns went head to head.

24.01.2022 #8: I love shooting beach flags, its close to my heart. Ive done the flags finals for the last 20 years and photographed a lot of awesome final dives. But I chose to include this 2015 Aussies u19 flags win from Elizabeth Forsyth at North Kirra because of the faces and the sand, only a flagger would know the feeling, still digging out sand from everywhere, weeks later.

21.01.2022 Spent the weekend shooting beach rugby on Kirra Beach. Awesome fun to shoot, was a lot harder on the players on the soft sand and 25 degree heat.

20.01.2022 #7: Aussies 2019 at Broadbeach was my favourite so far I think, the surf was cranking and I had a smile on my face everyday with the carnage I was getting. Mitch Coombes from Northcliffe in the heats of the U19 Ironman showed exceptional strength and skill to hold this. I have a sequence of it and anyone who sees it doesnt believe that he made it. Was awesome to watch.

20.01.2022 #4: When the surf is big one of my favourite events to shoot is the board rescue, particularly the juniors, always good carnage but the best part is the faces, sometimes fear but most of the time exhilaration and laughter. The Wanda girls try to pull the nose up at Youth Aussies at North Burleigh 2019.

20.01.2022 Today was a tough one, back on the camera after 3 days racing and an epic IRB after party. But the racing was even tougher in the roughest surf conditions for the event. Congrats to all the winners of some major events. All images will be loaded on www.harvpix,com

19.01.2022 #10: Aussies 2016 at Maroochydore, when the tide went out and the sandbank came up. Was amusing to watch as most competitors failed to time their dives in to the trough and went down in spectacular fashion. This Burleigh competitor nailed it though

19.01.2022 #2: Throwback to approx 2004/2005??? Not exactly sure. I wont name names, but this Met Caloundra competitor nailed the multi task after falling off her ski and riding it in sideways. Still one of my favourite pics, seems so long ago.

16.01.2022 #9: I could have filled up this list many times over just with images from Aussies 2019 at Broadbeach. I had so much fun shooting last years Aussies and produced some of my best pics. I love this Freshwater SLSC ski pic because again its a bit different as he explodes through the lip of the wave hanging in mid air.

07.01.2022 #11: yes my top ten is a top 11, 2 reasons, firstly I struggled culling down the list, but more importantly iso has me not knowing what day it is and I started this list on a Thursday when I thought it was Friday Thought this list should really end on what would have been the last day of Aussies 2020. Saving the best for last, this pic of a Mount Maunganui board paddler at Aussies 2019 at Broadbeach in the heats of the women’s board race before they were moved to North Kirra. This was an hour of carnage and awesome photos, the bank was so nasty, I was so happy My favourite pic of what was my favourite Aussies.

06.01.2022 #5: My only win/celebration pic, whilst I do love the expression on Floodys face, what I love about this pic is the background. Manly dominated this open mixed double ski final at North Kirra Aussies in 2013, winning by so much that they were off their ski and celebrating while 3 crews were still fighting it out for silver, with the rest of the crews another two waves behind.

06.01.2022 #3: With today being what would have been the first day of the Aussie Youth championships, throwback to 2016 when Maroochydore threw up some awesome surf for the Youth Aussies. Eliza Curll from Manly took the drop and held it to the beach.

03.01.2022 #6: The perfect dive. When shooting on the east coast there is always a couple of hours each morning that we just cant shoot because of back lighting. I love taking this opportunity in the mornings to get in for a couple of hours with the water camera, so much fun. You can never predict what you will get and is hard chasing the action. But every now and then I jag the perfect position and timing. This pic of Madeline Allars from North Burleigh at the 2017 Youth Aussies at North Kirra stands out as one of my best. Looks like a set up but was shot during the heats of the cameron relay.

01.01.2022 So tomorrow would have been my 20th Australian titles working for Harvie (harvpix) and Slsa. I started as the work experience kid, running films (yes Im that old) and shooting surf boats.
