19.01.2022 Seeking caretaking position or similar We are a family of 5 currently seeking position around Emerald, CQ. We both have rural upbringings but our employed exp...erience includes: Mat / Husband - Contract fencer, concetor, shed builder (5 years) - Shearer / Stationhand (5 years) - Underground Mining Coordinator (9 years) Eliza / Wife - Pen rider (2 years) - HST Officer (6 years) - Admin / education / station hand Ideally we would like an arrangement for myself as a caretaker, keeping an eye on things at the station while Mat works a roster 7 days on 7 days off at Crinum Mine near Emerald. My role would included gardening, cleaning, (maybe some administration work safety systems are my deal ) keeping everything tidy. As well as checking waters, fences and feeding cattle. Mat is able to help me with any priorities or heavy duty jobs in between. We are competent on horses and with cattle if needed for mustering or processing. While our ‘life’ practically fits in our container, we also have horses, two small dogs, a caravan, horse float and trailer. We would love to find somewhere close enough for Mat to travel home each night within 1 hour of Emerald but will look at most options and locations. Needs to be family friendly and close to school. 07.01.2022 It’s with great difficulty we announce that we had to make the difficult decision to lay our Mistro to rest after finding him this morning with an unrepairable break. Not only was he a great athlete he was a great mate. The memories our family has shared with this horse are irreplaceable. We’ve travelled many miles together to different jobs and campdrafts no matter where we took him it always felt like home when he was around. Sticking his head in the gazebo or sitting around the fire with us he was truely a one of a kind. We will cherish the special memories and talents he showed us from kids pony to open campdrafts there really wasn’t much he couldn’t do. All though we have reached our final destination we will always rember our journey together thankyou for the ride of our lives Mistro we will miss you
