25.01.2022 #2016flashback. RIO baby. Not only did Kyle Bridgewood qualify for the Para Olympics, he was also in genuine medal contention. To have an athlete on the Para Olympic team was a great honor for the team and to our sponsors and we couldn't of been happier to have a great guy like Kyle on the team while he tried to achieve his dream. Kyle raced on the track, road race and also the road time-trial. This would give Kyle the chance to win a medal on both the track and the road. The... track was his first event of the Para Olympics and he got it off the an epic start with a silver medal in the 4k Individual pursuit. After that Kyle's focus turned to the individual time trial on the road. Again he was flying and took another silver medal, two silver medals had already made his Para Olympics a success and now his focus turned to the road race where he would go on to support his countryman @alistairdonohoe. This almost resulted in a gold medal for Alastair but unfortunately was involved in the most bizarre crash just meters from the line with Alastair crossing the line first but without his bike resulting in a silver. Data#3 Cisco was very happy to support Kyle on his Para Olympic journey and congratulations to Kyle for his success, good job mate. . 25.01.2022 Congrats to @ryanthomas on 3rd at the Murrarie World International Champions of Champions Criterium 2016 and congrats to the old fellas taking out 3rd in the teams classification. #heslosingsomeweight #photoshop

25.01.2022 As we draw the 2016 racing year to a close, wed like to share some memories from the D#3 Elite Womens Race Team. Collectively D3WRT had its most successful year yet, with individual and team podiums, participation and wins at State, National and World racing events, placing in the first Qld Womens Team Series, and diversification into track and triathlon. For a small team, these ladies have achieved a lot! This was D3WRTs 5th year racing, thanks to sponsors, Data#3, Ci...sco, Scody Australia, Merriweather Café, Telstra, Fuji Xerox, Skratch Labs and Lazer Helmets. Throughout the year, in particular for the Qld Team Series, we were very fortunate to have an amazing crew of team managers, drivers, photographers, mechanic and even a team cook. We truly appreciated the support and patience of Martin Bicknell, Chris Nash, Brad Gooda, Michael Walker, Ben Carson and Chris Andrews. Being experienced cyclists and racers, you knew exactly how to give the support required. We are also grateful to the wider D3RT (Elite and Masters) team who lent us equipment for races and generally encouraged us to succeed. And finally, thanks to D3 team manager Terence Bonner for making a womens team possible. We wish the team, its sponsors and our supporters all the best for 2017. See more

24.01.2022 She came, she raced and she conquered, and she did it in style. Congrats to Corissa for a sensational weekend of racing at the Tour of Bright. Corissa came into the third and final stage Road Race with a healthy lead and held off her competition in the final climb of the day to take the Stage win. This cemented her place as overall GC winner and she took the Tour QOM jersey after cleaning up all the climbing points over the weekend. Corissa can now draw her race season to a close and relax.

24.01.2022 Best of luck to pink chick Corissa Nash who is racing Australian Masters Nationals Road Race today and Crit tomorrow. By all accounts the conditions are damp but that won't stop gutsy and determined Corissa who has had a great season, including a 7th place overall in the recent QRTS and is current QLD State RR champ in her age group. Sending you these ones .

23.01.2022 #2016flashback. Stage 6 of the Tour de Singkarak the team had a plan to put Alex Grunke and Saxon Irvine into the early break before the deciding 17k HC climb. Both Saxon and Alex made it over the climb before the peloton, with Saxon in the chase group going after 5 riders. After catching a couple but not all, Saxon managed to win his group kick for 4th. Stage 7 started with 40ks of undulating roads peaking at 1150m before a 20k decent. Saxon managed to make a move before the... decent and got a gap with 1 rider. They managed to get a gap of 6-7 mins over the next 100k before it started to come down. Saxon made his move with 10ks to go and dropped his companion to win solo and give the team their 2nd stage win. Thomas Hubbard had been given a full Data3 lead out to also finish 2nd in the group kick for a 3rd on the stage. Great day for the team. The final stage was the one the team wanted badly. We went in to the stage to effectively blow the race to bits on the final circuits were there was an expected 100 thousand people on the streets. Unfortunately the wind didn't co-operate but we still put it all on the line for the win. With a little confusion near the final few ks with riders and teams who shouldn't of been near the front, we still manged to make it to the front with Thomas Hubbard coming home for 5th and Saxon finishing 10th and 2nd overall for the green jersey. This was our most successful tour to date, we wouldn't of been able to be in this position without the help of everyone involved behind the scenes, like Adam Gill from @bikestyletours. Another cog in the wheel that makes this team go forward. . 20.01.2022 Grafton to Inverell class of 2017 all made it to their end destination in various states of elation and distress. Alot of personal bests laid out after a solid training base from most of the team of 6. Really appreciate the assistance of our supporters #legends

19.01.2022 #2016flashback. Each stage of the An Post Ras was over 150k and being over 8 days, it didn't leave much room for error. The team suffered with crashes and sickness in the early part of the race with only Saxon not involved in any accidents. It wasn't until the 6th stage that Saxon who was two mins back on GC, had a unfortunate mechanical which resulted in a loss over almost 45mins. Luckily Craig made it into the front group on the stage and managed a solid 10th for the day. T...he boys, Dylan, Scott and Ryan all rode out of their skin and deserved to come away with some solid results but as they say 'that's racing'. After all is said, the Ras was an amazing opportunity and one that the team will always reflect on. Thanks to Terrence Bonner and James Rooney for their help and support and the Rooney family for their hospitality in Ireland. Data#3 has had @cisco involved in the team for over 6 years and that is an achievement in its self. Thanks to Scott Reid for the ongoing support. . 19.01.2022 #2016flashback. And that's a wrap. Thanks to everyone who has been involved in the team from the start to now. We have been around for 10 years in one way or another. Each year we have gone from strength to strength, especially with the last two years as a continental UCI team that has raced in Europe, Asia and some of the biggest races in Australia. Data#3 racing team appreciates every sponsor and every rider that has been involved with the team over the years. We couldn't f...inish these series of posts without thanking Data#3. They have been the foundation in the teams success. 17.01.2022 Back to New Zealand for the REV Classic. Another UCI one-day race for the team. Team riders Thomas Hubbard had success at this race last year (for another team) and was going to be hard to beat this year. After a significant course change the team changed its approach to this race, protecting Saxon and Scott, as there was a lot of climbing during the race. With everything going to plan and the break most likely to be brought back, the reduced peloton (which contained all of t...he team) was close to the break, before being sent the wrong way. A disappointment moment in the race but a result was still salvaged, with Saxon finishing 7th behind the 4 riders in the winning break. New Zealand has been good to the team this year. . 17.01.2022 The National cycling weekend was the teams first chance to show off the hard work that the riders had put in over the summer. The u23 criterium was the opening race and it featured Ryan Thomas and Dylan Newbery racing around the main streets of Ballarat, with Ryan winning the Sprint jersey. Craig Evers also kept the eventual winner Jack Bobridge company in the break in the Elite men's road race. A great start to the year. 16.01.2022 #2016flashback. The team decided that stage 5 offered no chance of a result, they used this to rest the legs as much as possible and unleash on the following stage. Stage 6 started as planned. All line up at the front, all attack from the gun and all split the race to pieces. With the whole team in the break of 10, they had the opportunity to show their strength and dominate the day. The team won the stage with Alex Frame with Thomas Hubbard on the podium for 3rd. The rest of... the team finished 6th, 8th, 9th and 10th. Stage 7 was a stage of undulations and after yesterday's heroics, Ryan had the best legs of the team to finish 5th on the stage. Stage 8 offered another chance for a bunch kick and another podium for Alex with a solid 2nd. Stage 9 was won by Craig Evers. He didn't just won the Sprint or get away near the end. He went from the line solo and put 5 mins into the chasing peloton. Not max 5 mins gap but 5 mins on the line, also Thomas also won the bunch sprint for 2nd on the stage. Stage 11 was the finial day and after resting the legs on the HC summit finish on stage 10, it was the last chance to get another win. Win is exactly what they did. They kept the race together and lead Alex Frame out for another stage win with Hubbard netting another podium for 3rd. With that the tour was done with a win or podium on all but 2 of the 11 stages. 5 stage wins and 7 podiums, what a tour and what a epic finish to the year. Another year that couldn't of happened with the help from David Tucker at Trade Coast Central, Hazel Malone from Plantronics and the crew from Merriweather cafe. Thank you for the support. . 16.01.2022 With two riders in the team being kiwis, there was no way we would miss the New Zealand Cycle Classic. We had success at this tour in 2015 and wanted to replicate it in 2016. With a strong representation of local and international teams, Data3 wanted to show our strength and take the race by the horns. The team consisted of @samuelvolkers, @saxonirvine, @dylannewbery, scott_swt and @ryanthomas22. We held the leaders jersey for a day with Ryan after he finished 2nd on stage 3.... The team finished the tour with Dylan winning the Sprint classification and Scott and Saxon both finishing in the top 10 on the GC. 13.01.2022 #2016flashback. The next few races in Holland where a baptism by fire, so to speak. The boys lined up in the Arno Wallaard Memorial 1.2, Zuidenveld Tour 1.2, Ronde Van Overijssel 1.2 and a 80k Criterium where Craig Evers opened the teams European account with a fine win. The team raced in the most extreme of elements, it rarely peaked over 10c and in 2 of the races it hailed. This didn't slow the peloton down even with howling winds that Holland is famous for. Holland and B...elgium are known for being the hardest racing in the world and so far it was living up to this expectation. The team was loving every moment of getting the chance to 'live the dream'. It was at times like these that we are thankful to have David Cramer and Tom Sullivan from @bikesportz, @lazersport helmets and @bbbcycling, especially with the race shields to protect us from the elements. . 13.01.2022 Superstar Corissa is on fire at the Tour of Bright. After taking 2nd place in yesterday's ITT, she gave another outstanding performance in today's RR, finishing in first place with a one minute lead over the rest of the pack . She now sits in 1st place overall GC going into the last stage tomorrow. Best of luck tomorrow pink lady.

12.01.2022 #2016flashback @kylebridgewood took a step away from a full on road schedule so he could focus fully on Rio. The team was fully behind this decision as the Olympics is a dream for so many and only achieved by a small few. The first of many steps for Kyle to achieve this was track world championships in Europe. Kyle cemented his position on the Australian track and road team by becoming the World Champion in the scratch race and a silver medal in the 4000m C4 pursuit . A ver...y proud moment for the team to see kyle on his way to fulfilling his dream. Special thanks to @telstra for the many years of support and helping the team compete at a international level. Also a special mention to @davidbettscc and the @australian_institute_of_sport, without their support we wouldn't have a world champion on the team. . 11.01.2022 After a few years of racing Oceania's in QLD, the team was heading to Bendigo for what would become one of the hottest 180ks ever spent on a bike. We decided on sending a small team to the race, knowing that this would take some of the pressure off the team to be dominant and control the race and allow the boys to race individually for a result. The heat became the major obstacle for everyone and after a massive crash that cause a course alteration and Ryan Thomas to abandon ...due to his injuries, it would all come down to the finial climb. Saxon Irvine managed to hang on to the second group over the climb and was involved in a pretty hard chase to bring back the 5 riders in front. The break held on for the win with Saxon managing to finish 2nd in his group for a solid 5th place in Elite. Dylan Newbery and Alex Grunke finished a few groups behind with Dylan getting a top 10 in u23 and Alex top 20 in Elite. 10.01.2022 #2016flashback. The teams first race in Holland was the Ronde Van Holland. This is the North of Holland, where the wind is constantly blowing a gale. For most of the team, these conditions would be a new experience and one they had to get used to. @craig_evers being the teams strong man took to the conditions like a fish to water. Craig finished a solid 36th in the first race, while the rest of the team rode well and took away a lot of positives. Especially with the weather b...eing less than favourable. 08.01.2022 #2016flashback After sending half the squad to Europe in 2015, we sent the whole continental squad to the Netherlands for 3 months. 07.01.2022 #2016flashback. The team had the opportunity to line up at the An Post Ras in Ireland, for what is known as the hardest and most respectable amateur cycling race. What we didn't expect was the most amazing scenery. Around ever corner was another picturesque scene but unfortunately for the boys, the fast paced racing left them zero time to take it in. With only five man teams, it was always going to be a hard race to predict let alone control. Data3 Cisco sent a mixed team of ...climbers, @scott_swt and @saxonirvine, roulers, @craig_evers and u23 riders, @dylannewbery and @ryanthomas. The Ras started in Dublin and traversed to the western coastline and the east across the southern coastline before heading north back to Dublin over a massive 8 days and 1230km. The team went onto the race with high hopes of u23 GC and stage results. The boys all held their own against some of the strongest continental riders from all over the world, and kept the moral and attitude high even with some unfortunate crashes and mechanicals which affected all of the team. 07.01.2022 #2016flashback. While the boys where at the Ras, Sam Volkers and Alex Grunke had been flying the data3 flag in some of the more prestigious pro Kermesse's in Holland and Belgium. When the boys got back from Ireland, they had only a short break before 3 finial races. 2x 80k crit and the Ronde Van Limburge UCI 1.1. This was a huge deal to the team, as they had the chance to race the likes of Tom Boonen and his Etixx-Quickstep mates. In the end it was Sam Volkers who had the bes...t legs of the team and was one of not many left in the race coming into the finial. Sam finished in the top 50 after having a few attacks near the end. 07.01.2022 QRTS wrapped up yesterday with an exciting Round 4 on the Sunshine Coast. Despite losing stalwart rider Jane at late notice, the D#3 girls were intent on maintaining their overall position in the series. The uphill 7km ITT in Stage 1 showcased Corissa's climbing skills once again as she finished in 6th place. That afternoon, the girls reapplied their sunscreen for the Cotton Tree Crit and following a perfect display of teamwork, Kirrily finished Stage 2 in 2nd place. Julia a...nd Dyane earned their keep by creating breaks and patrolling the peloton. They were back out on the hills the next morning for the 78km road race around the Sunshine Coast hinterland which included the notable Kiel Mountain Wall climb. The girls fought hard to the end with Kirrily finishing 4th and Corissa 8th. After 4 tough rounds in the inaugural women's QRTS, our D#3 ladies claimed 3rd place in the overall Teams Classification and 3rd individual GC. This felt like a fair reward for the effort of not just the team but all those who have invested in their success, including team manager and mechanic for the weekend Chris Nash and Martin Bicknell. The team felt their full support, as well as that of team mates Jane, Nicole, Lauren and Stuey and the D#3 men's team, led by Terence Bonner. Congrats to the boys too for a successful weekend And finally, behind every great team is a bunch of willing sponsors and without Data#3, Cisco, Scody Australia, Merriweather Cafe, Skratch Labs, LAZER HELMETS, this team would not exist. Thank you for your contribution to our success. See more

04.01.2022 #2016flashback. Tour of Poyang Lake in China is typically a sprinters race and the team sent a squad who would be able to deliver, especially with the added depth of Alex Frame who is a New Zealand sprinter. The team consisted of Ryan Thomas, Adam Allen, Thomas Hubbard, Craig Evers, Sam Volkers and Alex Frame. The race started with a bang, with Sam Volkers and Craig Evers getting in the break on stage 1. Sam went on the attack near the end and got a gap to win the stage and w...ith the GC with Craig winning the Sprint for 2nd. Stage 2 the team worked to keep the race together. This would protect the leaders GC and also make sure it was a bunch finish. They where successful in this with Alex Frame winning the stage. That made it two from two. Stage 3 saw Craig again being aggressive and forcing a late stage break with another rider. The gap stayed away with Craig coming 2nd and Ryan finished 5th. Stage 4 was similar as the team had the fastest sprinters in the race and wanted to capitalise by having bunch sprints. Again it was a bunch kick with Alex Frame finishing 3rd and both Ryan and Thomas getting the most aggressive award. A great opening few stages that had the team on the highest of confidence going into the later part of the Tour. More to come stages to come. The team would like to thank Brendan Gale-Grant from SEQ Advice Group and Danielle Nolan from Arthur J. Gallagher for all of their support. Everyone works hard behind the scenes to get the teams to the races and we are thankful for the support. . 04.01.2022 #2016flashback. Tour de Singkarak is the 5th most watched race on the road in the world behind the 3 grand tours and the Tour Down Under. The race couldn't of started any better if we tried, Dylan Newberry got in the break on stage 1 and after it blew out to 6-7 mins it was clear it was going to make it to the line. Dylan started to show his strength with a some late attacks, with his last effort finally breaking the group apart to take the win. With that, the team had the GC... lead for three days, the points lead. Stage 2, Thomas Hubbard netted himself a top 10 even after the team spent the day the race, as they would continue to do till they no longer held the leaders jersey, which was lost by stage 4. Come stage 5, Sam Volkers raced aggressive as usual and went up the road with a strong group. He gave it a solid nudge in the final 10ks and manage 2nd, with the team doing a dedicated lead out and Craig finishing 10th on the stage. Stage 6-8 tomorrow. Thanks to Scody for a very very long partnership. This has been instrumental in the teams success, as the riders have always had the best kit to race and train in. Thanks to Bernard Schreiber and James Billing for looking after us for the last 6 years. . 04.01.2022 After the @cadelroadrace, the Sun Tour is one of the biggest stage races that Data3 would have the chance to race all year. The team went into the race to expose themselves to the bigger teams knowing that a result in this race could lead to a professional cycling contract. With the likes of team Sky and Tour de France winner @chrisfroome, we knew it would be a tough week but that wasn't going to change our aggressive race tactics. We achieved our goals of putting riders in b...reaks and riding on the front. The team consisted of @samuelvolkers, @scott_swt, Thomas Hubbard, @craig_evers, @ryanthomas22 and @dylannewbery and all rode their hearts out during the week of what would be the hardest racing of the year. Thanks to Nathaniel McKay, James Simpson and Shane Bright from @subarutoowong for supporting the team for the last 5 year's. We couldn't of done it without you.
