15.01.2022 Could this be the first time an EClub has organised a district conference? Whether it is or not, the Rotary EClub Outback Australia, led by conference chair Pen...e Curtis, did an amazing job of organising District Governor Greg Marlow's conference. A big 'thank you' from everyone in Rotary District 9550 for all your efforts to make #alicesprings2019 the success it was! #betheinspiration #thefoundationsofrotary

13.01.2022 Official Opening of the Tennant Creek National Trust held today at 4pm (the historic old TC Hospital) (across the road from Memo Club). Officially Opened by Way...ne Green, Chairperson of the TC National Trust, who invited Mr Hal Ruger to cut the Red Ribbon to open the Building. Visitors from Alice Springs, Darwin, Adelaide and Tennant Creek attended the official opening. It was a pleasant day for this occasion. It was my privileged to present to Mr Wayne Green, Chairperson, a chèque from our Rotary Foundation to him and the TC National Trust, to the value of $3,700 to buy much needed equipment for the Building. We Rotary, are so excited and Proud to be a Partner and supported with the TC National Trust. The committee and invited guests will gather for Dinner at the Goldfields Restaurant to enjoy food and good company.

11.01.2022 On Friday night in Tennant Creek, Northern Territory, I was hosted by Rotary EClub Outback Australia, firstly at a meeting with the club's board. Being an EClub..., two members joined the Board meeting via Zoom - one from Katherine and one from Borroloola, both about 700 kms away. While a number of members of the club are based in Tennant Creek, several members are located quite some distance away in other parts of Northern Territory and in Queensland. It was great to hear how members in remote areas are able to still contribute to the club's projects. See more

10.01.2022 Don’t forget to sign up for the Rotary Zone 8 virtual conference next weekend. It is only 1.5 hours each day and it is free!

10.01.2022 The Rotary EClub Outback Australia Club meeting followed the board meeting, with a change of venue, a delicious Chinese banquet and the opportunity to meet some... more amazing community-minded people. Being the eve of the Northern Territory election, some members were unable to be present, but those members and friends of Rotary who were able to be there, enjoyed getting to handle the Rotary100downunder Relay baton. Being great supporters of the Rotary Foundation, members really appreciated seeing the #endpolio logo on the reverse of the baton. See more
