One of their products is this meditation video, we think it's something that families might also like to use at home. What a great way to end another fabulous week of learning at Daceyville. Have a lovely weekend everyone.

20.01.2022 What a week! It has been wonderful to see everyone back at school this week. Thank you for all your support with the changes to drop off and pick up and for making sure all of our children feel positive about coming back to school. We know that getting back into routine has been a bit of a challenge for some of our little people and expect a few tired faces today. Have a restful weekend and we look forward to seeing everyone again on Monday!

19.01.2022 Today, all of Tallowoods hard work during PBL paid off. Penny, A representative from Street Buffet, came to collect the meals they cooked. These meals will go to people sleeping rough. Penny assured us that these meals will be greatly appreciated. Well done Tallowood!

18.01.2022 It's Education Week this week, the theme is Learning Together. At Daceyville we love having the opportunity learn with friends, students in other classes, experts, community members and family. This year it's a bit more difficult to learn from different people at school so we are finding new ways of learning together. Today our student leaders have made a video to help students learn how to take a mindful walk to help them feel calm and appreciate their surroundings. Each week the student leaders will be sharing an activity with the whole school to improve our wellbeing. We hope you find time for a mindful walk this week! #learningtogether NSW Department of Education https://youtu.be/_R1FD2P5jnk

17.01.2022 Our outdoor art exhibition was a great success today! Students worked together to produce beautiful artworks of native Australian animals using natural materials. Might need to be an annual event! #NAIDOC2020

17.01.2022 One of the Lilly Pilly PBL products is finding ways to thank our front line workers. Today students presented a thank you poem signed by the whole school (and some stress balls) to firefighters from Maroubra Fire Station. What a great way to show gratitude and appreciation for people in our community who look after us.

16.01.2022 We haven't been able to run Kindy tours this year due to COVID-19 so we have made a little video tour instead. Please share this with family and friends who are starting school next year and encourage them to get their enrolment forms in before the end of Term 3. https://youtu.be/g6rtnjuA00I

16.01.2022 Miley, one of our school captains, has a welcome back message for all of our students. Thanks Miley!

16.01.2022 It's NAIDOC week and we have lots of things going on! 15.01.2022 We are aware there are some concerning reports circulating about an alleged incident this afternoon in the Daceyville area. I have spoken with Maroubra police and they have informed that no such incident took place and there is no cause for alarm. I encourage you to use caution when reading unverified social media posts as circulating incorrect information can lead to unnecessary anxiety in the community. - Michelle Hostrup, Principal

15.01.2022 Tallowood have finished cooking and packing the first batch of take home meals for people in need. They had a great time cooking and can't wait to hear how it tastes. Click on the photos to see them cooking and packing the meals, as well as details for how to pick them up. Don't forget to take a copy of the recipe home with you so that you can cook it again. If you know anyone who might be in need of a good, nutritious meal, please let them know about our project.

13.01.2022 We are very excited to be part of a project working with NSW Health and 3 other schools in our area to explore and develop strategies for working with communities to support students' health and learning outcomes. The project will employ two staff members - a project coordinator and a care navigator. We'd love your ideas on what sort of qualities, skills and experience you think it would be important for this person to have. Share your ideas here: https://forms.gle/Kbm2eFL75MWD64nS9
