25.01.2022 Fringe 2014 Fringe 2014 Fringe 2014 Fringe 2014 POW POETS OUTA WORK A couple of likely characters are sitting around and grizzling about how hard it is to get any arts funding for their spoken word/music fusion project. Barring unforeseen circumstances like relying on Australia Post to deliver the application , they may yet somehow achieve their goal. Stranger things have happenedIn their endless, intellectual discussion, it transpires that they have something to say, somet...hing important and vital - yet they have no idea what that might actually be. Its all in their imagination. Between tokes and sips of chardonnay. Their verbal meanderings inadvertently invoke the Garlic fairy, one of the Muses of Inspiration, and things become very very interesting from that point. A waiting for Godot except its artz funding they are waiting for. They then invoke a series of performing characters, and even take to the spotlight themselves.open mike will never be the same ! None of this and the next poet is.. Featuring some of Adelaides finest spoken word, performance and music folk, this is a one night only opportunity not to be missed. In the cast : Jenny Toune, Nigel Ford, Colin Herring, Nicky Bullock, Lord Stompy and Avalanche, in no particular order. New songs, old jokes, slightly soiled poems, a bit of clowning and quite unexpected bouts of dancing. An experimental performance poetry piece that breaks all the rules. We simply provide a narrative that bind the acts together. 16.01.2022 In this performance the kids see Jack stealing the golden goose and contrary to our expectations rush to tell the giant. So in this version of J&B the children realise the truth. Jack is a thief and home wrecker. The Giant was innocent and Jack is a murderous thief! This perception was not our intention and stranger things have happened. When performing to children aged 3-9 it is very hard to play a giant without the children experiencing genuine fear so I became a genuine dumb oaf and a bit of a bully. The outcome is amazing because the children take ownership of the performance and alter the script. We happily went with their flow.f

08.01.2022 Off to a gig at Parabanks today 11-2pm free family fun day. Then a 10 hour journey to Corowa. Performing all day at Corowa Show Sunday, meeting the grandkids and son plus Maria Moeller for a meal, then back to Adelaide on Monday. Thank goodness my mechanics at PROGAS detected the leaky radiator or I wouldna make it.

07.01.2022 The Salisbury Parade is on again 21st of Nov. Anyone who wishes to participate as a clown, please attend at the Salisbury Civic Centre Office 5pm this thursday.. It is off John Street near the interchange end. Best place to park is in the carpark opposite the Hoyts cinemas then walk through the lane not far from the chemist warehouse that connects with John Street. In the middle of the laneway you will see an office. I will be waiting there to give you a costume and brief you... on the OH&S issues, time frames, locations to meet. parade starts around 10-10.30. Pre-parade activities, give aways, streamers etc all discussed. Have a happy parade. Those who have other commitments can come as early as 3.15 pm or arrange an alternate day.
