19.01.2022 For those who havent understood yet... Victorias Secret has declared bankruptcy. Zara closed 1.200 stores. Chanel, Hermes and Rolex have stopped production. Nike is getting ready for stage two of redundancies. AirBnb founder says that due to the pandemic, 12 years of effort have been destroyed in 6 weeks. Starbucks has announced the permanent closure of 400 stores. And the list goes on... Five months of the pandemic have created many debts, many of their friends and famil...y are out of work, jobless and tens of thousands of businesses are out of business. If the company you work in continues, without pay reduction or dismissal, treat it well. We face a pandemic that cannot be controlled. 2020 is about survival, leave aside daily complaints be grateful and responsible for what you have."

18.01.2022 We should take comfort in knowing that we have all been here before and not only survived but went ahead in leaps and bounds.

16.01.2022 A wise teacher once brought balloons to school, told her pupils to blow them up and write their name on one. After the children tossed their balloons into the hall, the teacher moved through the hall mixing them all up. The kids were given five minutes to find the balloon with their name on it, but though they searched frantically, no one found their own balloon. Then the teacher told them to take the balloon closest to them and give it to the person whose name was on it. In ...less than two minutes, everyone was holding their own balloon. The teacher said to the children, These balloons are like happiness. We wont find it when were only searching for our own. But if we care about someone elses happiness...it will ultimately help us find our own.

14.01.2022 Interesting question Maity asked on our Dads Online Forum, how have others handled this problem? 12 months ago I became primary carer for our 2yr old son. 6 months ago I found out my wife has been seeing a lawyer trying to build an abuse case against me. 2 weeks ago she dropped a custody affidavit on me. We are separated but still living in the same house, I believed that this was the best thing for our son.... My affidavit suggested we stay in those circumstances, but have mediation for how we operate finances, care of our son etc. She agreed to this at court. It is becoming obvious that she will not be happy until she has full custody and rides of into the sunset with our son to her new life. The further we go into this it is becoming a reality that I could in fact get custody, but I need to be able to provide a proper home for him. My issue and question is, How do I afford that, if I cant work due to being his primary carer and cover rent and bills etc etc, Is there anybody here who has made that transition and can give me some pointers? Does a single parenting payment from centrelink make it possible? Do I need to be in a community housing property? Other options? Your feedback is much appreciated.
