16.01.2022 Dafito shake up Shikaris 6-3! Dafito managed to topple Shikaris, despite being on the back foot before the match even started. With David van Schoten delayed by a swarming crowd looking for his autograph, Dafito procured the services of a nearby civilian, going down 1-0 early on. After pegging a goal back, Dafito again found themselves a goal down after a fine finish from Shikaris opposition. Upon David's introduction into the match, he signalled his arrival with two goals in the space of two minutes, setting the tone for what would be a one-sided match from then on. A brace to Ilan Berkowitz and further goals to John Papas and Tomer Berkowitz sealed a fine win for Dafito as they marched on to their third consecutive victory of the new season. The next match sees Dafito pitted against their eternal opposition, Herman's Hotshots! DAFITO!

13.01.2022 Dafito break Dutch balls! Coming into the game fresh off a bye, Dafito arrived at Court 2 raring to go. With 3-2 and 4-1 victories against Dutch Ball Breakers behind them, Dafito warmed up with quiet confidence. Once the whistle was blown to signal the start of the game, it was some time before either time was able to get into any sort of rhythm for the match. Finding their feet faster, Dafito began to boss the game, commanding possession but not capitilising. A frustrating f...irst half ended 0-0, with Dafito heading back to the bench to regroup and reassess. On resumption, Dafito again were on top, and again unable to take full advantage. Finally, Tomer Berkowitz broke the deadlock, his first attempt at goal blocked by the goalkeeper but knocking in the rebound. With the first goal safely locked away, Dafito proceeded to deliver a hailstorm of shots, with another goal to Tomer and a lovely hat trick to Orrin Shaw sandwiching a delightful pass from Gal Alton to David van Schoten for a goal. With a final score of 6-0, Dafito now look to next week for their fourth clash of the season with Norfolk-in-Way and potentially top spot. See more

10.01.2022 Dafito chuck Chuck Norris FC! After suffering an absolutely humiliating 10-2 destruction at the paws of Cougars in their last outing, Dafito were still licking their wounds as they came up against a physically imposing Chuck Norris FC. With nothing separating the two teams come the full time whistle in their last meeting, Dafito weren't quite sure what to expect from the fourth-placed outfit. After a few weeks resting, David van Schoten reintroduced himself to the team with a... sublime goal to put Dafito up 1-0 early on. Unfortunately, this was not a sigh of things to come, as Dafito found themselves 3-1 down in the blink of an eye. A quick response from Sam de Jong brought the game back to a one goal margin, but Dafito went into the break two goals down, as Chuck Norris FC snatched a late goal before the whistle. Regrouping, Dafito went into the second half reinvigorated, but the first six minutes of the first half were an arm-wrestle. A tricksy little backheeled goal from Tomer Berkowitz brought the score to 4-3, and Dafito's opposition found themselves beginning to tire. An on-fire Sam de Jong levelled the scores, before slamming home his third of the night to give Dafito the lead. Will de Jong scored one final goal to put the icing on a very delicious cake, wrapping up the home-and-away season in which Dafito finished top. Next week is Dafito's semi-final, in which they play... Chuck Norris FC! Judging by this weekend's action, it's a game not to be missed. Until next time! See more

08.01.2022 Dangerous Dafito defeat Da Boys! Attempting to stay within the reaches of top spot and looking to respond after their first draw of the season, Dafito came into this game full of zest, ready to take on a team they had narrowly defeated earlier in the season. After a cagey opening, Dafito began to craft themselves some opportunities. After watching a few chances go begging, Tomer Berkowitz and Gal Alton managed to make their way onto the scoresheet, establishing a comfortable ...lead. As the half wound down, a couple of momentary lapses in defence allowed Da Boys back into the game, ensuring a tied game at half time. Looking to capitalise on their missed opportunities from the first half, Dafito found themselves on the front foot for most of the second half, Tomer tucking away two more goals to claim a hat trick and Will de Jong rifling one into the net, giving Dafito a three goal lead. Although Da Boys managed to pull another two goals back in the closing stages of the game, Dafito held on to win by the same scoreline by which they had overcome Da Boys previously. Next week Dafito play last placed Shotokan FC for the second time in four weeks in what promises to be a ripper. Until next time! See more

03.01.2022 Dafito shoot down Shotokan FC! Having not lost in the season proper, Dafito were coming off their first loss of the season. Looking to rebound, a dominant display from the team saw them run out 10-0 winners. Although it took some time for Dafito to settle, once they were able to find the back of the net, the goals started to flow. A masterclass shooting performance from Will de Jong saw him put away no less than five goals, with Tomer Berkowitz a handy sidekick, grabbing himself a hat trick. Resolute defending ensured a clean sheet for the second game against Shotokan FC, a task made all the more easier with giant Sam Johnson in goals. Dafito hope that next week's opponent, Chuck Norris FC, bring more meme than martial art. Until next time!
