18.01.2022 Honestly, how could anyone, anywhere, ever want to take away the opportunity for children to interact with animals? The thought of animal rights activists who b...elieve human-animal bonds should be abolished still astounds me Those of us who are privileged enough to know first hand what lovely, safe, enriched lives animals in captivity can lead (whether it’s a rabbit, a dog, a capybara or a lion), provided the owner/carer of each animal has the incentive and knowledge to care appropriately for each animal on both a physical and emotional level, together we can continue sharing animal love and experiences whilst conserving many endangered animals from around the world Big thanks to Ben, Hannah, Millie and Darcy from D’Aguila Wildlife for all you do and for sharing their animal world with us. It’s such a joy to meet beautiful families who share our views and our passion See more

18.01.2022 One animal who knows how to make the most of the sunlight, on a cold rainy day like today, is our beautiful Fennec Foxes! Belle, Kito and Sundai sure know how to find the warmest spot to sleep.

18.01.2022 Someone has been building in the quiet corner of one of our aviaries (right under where all the birds like to sleep ). Can you guess who?

15.01.2022 Anyone else enjoy their weekend as much as Jeanette here?

15.01.2022 Some of our birds have been very busy, can you guess who?

15.01.2022 Early last year something special was born at D’Aguilar Wildlife - can you spot her in this aviary?

10.01.2022 As we all move back to normality what better time to get out and get creative!

09.01.2022 Wookie the Wombat has been itching to celebrate World Wombat Day today! Did you know that wombats have square poo? They have special bones that squeeze their poo into cubes. Wombats use their poo to mark their territory. It’s believed that by passing square poo it can’t roll away from where they leave it.

06.01.2022 We have been lucky enough to be involved in dozens of Totally Wild stories over the years. We are so saddened to hear after such a long time, this staple of kids TV in Australia has not been renewed in 2021. Our best wishes to the team past and present.

This little one has grown up and moved into one of our smaller aviaries to learn more about being a bird before moving down to our Water-bird aviary. Be sure to check the comments for some baby ibis cuteness

06.01.2022 The safety and wellbeing of our customers is our highest priority. Therefore, in light of this weekends lock-down, we have made the decision to cancel the upcom...ing event, The Aviary, which was due to begin on Monday 11th January. 05.01.2022 Something new has been ‘spotted’ at D’Aguilar Wildlife! These guys are not only super cute, but they are the first of their species to ever live in the Sunshine State!

05.01.2022 Could you spot our secret snake in last weeks post? It’s one of our beautiful Albino Red-Tailed Boa Constrictor. She is one of the most active in the aviary and we find her in all sorts of places with her super slithering abilities!

03.01.2022 You know what day it is? World Lizard Day! We are so lucky to be able to hold some enigmatic lizard species, including our breeding group of Green Iguana! This species is almost extinct in Australian Zoos through a combination of mismanagement, and facilities interests changing. We are so lucky to be home to the largest group in Australia and hope we can share many baby Green Iguana will you later in the year!
