25.01.2022 Please share a positive story or development since the world has been impacted by COVID-19. The spread of this virus shows no borders, and nor should we! We are all humans, and we are in this together. We need to look after one another, and our world. If we're open to it, we can allow this whole experience to teach us. (And no, I'm not saying we shouldn't close our physical borders to slow the spread!) We can absolutely use this time to CONNECT as a world, connect with our ...families, friends and communities, whether we are physically distanced or not. Musicians are bringing their talents online and sharing with the world. Publishers and authors and libraries and NASA and Zoos are available for online resources, or virtual tours. Yesterday in an almost empty supermarket, I dropped my wallet, and a man told me a bank card had also fallen out. People are asking their elderly neighbours if they have everything they need. What have you noticed that is changing for the better right now? 13.01.2022 I had a quick chat with Matiu, the wonderful brain and heart behind One Good Street. We discussed a couple of ideas for supporting ourselves and neighbours duri...ng this period of uncertainty and isolation. He has been doing "Tea at 3" with neighbours over the fence. I visualised neighbours coming out of their homes at 3pm each day, with their cups {of something}, standing on the footpaths creating a sense of community, solidarity and connection (from a safe distance). I've created this image, to be shared with you and yours. If you have friends or family who are not on social media, please pass on this idea. It may make a difference to someone's life going forward. We need to consider the mental health impacts of this current crisis also, so please remind those in your circles, they are not alone, and this will pass.
