25.01.2022 Must have some friends in high places... a bit of love from Escape.com.au. Pleased to rate a mention and be associated with some other good enterprises.

23.01.2022 'Anatomy of a Smile'. Below are a few facts about Saltwater Crocodiles. What other facts can you add? Saltwater crocs have a toothy smile with 66 teeth! Teeth are replaced continuously through life. Jaws can have a closing pressure of 3000+ PSI.... Lingual glands at back of the mouth are used to excrete salt. The black dots along the jaws are sensory pits enabling the detection of slight movements in the water. The horizontal fold of skin in the back of the mouth is a palatal valve which enables the croc to close the throat, useful when going underwater. Each eye has 3 eyelids. The third is a sideways-moving transparent membrane to protect the eye. The earhole slit is visible immediately behind the eye. Image by recent passenger Dom Chaplin of Pine Creek Pictures.

17.01.2022 The Papuan Frogmouth is a master of disguise, deliberately coloured to match the mottled bark of rainforest trees. Recently there have been a few nesting along the river. 14.01.2022 Recently we played host to a crew from 'Totally Wild' filming an upcoming episode on the Daintree River and the Great Barrier Reef.
