22.01.2022 GREAT BARRIER REEF FUN FACTS At 8000-years-old, the thin layer of living coral that makes up the Great Barrier Reef is a spring chicken compared to the 500,000-year old dead coral and algae layers that lie beneath.

21.01.2022 GREAT BARRIER REEF FUN FACTS Apart from climate change and human impact, the reef's worst natural predator is the crown-of-thorns starfish. The unpopular kid of the playground is notorious for stripping reefs of nearly all living coral. Fortunately, new corals can are generally able to re-grow after an outbreak.

09.01.2022 What our guests say about us... A magical place right in the heart of Daintree. Cec's beach house is immaculate with everything you could need. Great location, back patio looks into the mountains, with the beach just across the road to the front. Cec also owns CJ's Bar and Cafe, right before the beach entrance - where we ate breakfast and lunch. Great food and coffee! Cec and Bernie went above and beyond and truly made our time there special. We even booked our croc cruise through them. Thank you so much for everything - a trip we'll never forget. Thanks Joaquin all the way from San Jose in CA.

02.01.2022 Today is World Smile Day Smiling is infectious, you catch it like the flu, When someone smiled at me today,... I started smiling too. I passed around the corner and someone saw my grin. When he smiled I realized I'd passed it on to him. I thought about that smile, then I realized its worth. A single smile, just like mine could travel round the earth. So, if you feel a smile begin, don't leave it undetected. Let's start an epidemic quick, and get the world infected!

01.01.2022 GREAT BARRIER REEF FUN FACTS In 2012 Google launched the very first underwater Street View on the Great Barrier Reef. The Underwater Earth project uses data and imagery from the ground-breaking Catlin Seaview Survey project a series of expeditions aiming to explore and survey the health of coral reefs worldwide so you can spy on the antics of the reef's inhabitants. It's no Big Brother UpLate, but interesting nonetheless. https://buff.ly/2oGZ9Kt
