25.01.2022 Hi everyone, hope you are enjoying a different Easter this year and staying safe and well! The kids enjoyed making eggs to decorate the front gate, the woodshed is full and Easter Bunny found us. Even had a bonfire tonight. All good here!

25.01.2022 Some guests have managed to cross the border! These cows will stay with us for a few months then head back home to NSW. The farm is looking great at the moment and more delicious green grass than our own cattle can eat

25.01.2022 So many businesses in and near the fire zones are doing it tough but just like the Milawa General Store they are still looking out for others! Please come and support all these towns as soon as you are able to - it will be a fun and practical way to support the bushfire recovery!

14.01.2022 Feeling disappointed for our Canadian guests who were planning on gliding in Benalla this week..........but they're finding lots of other good things to do around the district instead - street art, wineries and much more!

13.01.2022 Had lots of help gathering feijoas. We've made some delicious jam but that only took care of 2 kilos - several more to go! Muffins are next and any other suggestions are welcome :)

11.01.2022 What about these for fancy placemats.......didn't have a beer box handy but the coffee order had just arrived so used that box instead! A few minutes with the copier and the laminator and we were all done! Special nod to #urbanbrewpods

07.01.2022 Very focused on further improving our bushfire plan these last couple of weeks - we have a second fire trailer setup now! It's been very smoky but so thankful we have not had any fires close by. Huge thanks to all who are fighting fires across the country including some of our family members. Can hear rain outside........may it also fall on the firegrounds. Stay safe!

07.01.2022 We got a new dining table during lockdown but hadn't thought about protecting it...........luckily our guests were onto it!

07.01.2022 A fabulous 14mm of rain over last couple of days. Everything feels fresh, it's so much cooler and the smoke has cleared. Had a lovely time exploring along the river with the kids!

07.01.2022 We've been a bit quiet lately haven't we! Busy round the farm and enjoying the rain and cooler days at the moment. Will be checking out the Sofles exhibition from this weekend and very much looking forward to Wall to Wall in April! Enjoy Benalla!

05.01.2022 Beautiful sunsets and sunrises lately and Jupiter and Saturn so clear in the sky at the moment! We've been keeping busy around the farm and enjoying lots of fresh juicy grapefruit - there's been plenty to share with the locals driving past the front gate as well. Take care everyone!

02.01.2022 RIP Sprocket. 14.5 years old or 101 in human years. Our dear old kelpie had her last trip to the vet today after deteriorating rapidly over the last few days. Now interred in the orchard. She used to love to wander over to The Dairy to get some extra pats from the visitors! The kids don't feel sad though as Sprocket is now in doggie heaven playing with the other dogs.

02.01.2022 Loving the rain we're having today because all our little paddock trees are getting a good drink. Each year we plant around 300 more trees so that we can attract more birds, create healthy habitat for lots of little creatures and increase the shade and shelter for our cattle. Couldn't rope in as many helpers this year with the restrictions but the kids had a Landcare lesson one day and figured out there are other things you can do with a tree guard!
