23.01.2022 A couple of Daisy Hill Trail fairies put a great effort on Lace Monitor today, clearing pooling water on the whole of trail.
23.01.2022 UPDATE: your trails remain open, but there are a number of things you must adhere to. You're obliged to limit your travel to MTB parks to the extent possible. You can ride with household members, otherwise you're limited to riding with one other person (your plus one). And you must keep 1.5m apart from each other noting there's evidence that when exercising this should be much more (particularly when following someone).... Stay safe. The hospitals don't want to be accommodating you right now. Please respect these rules and we can all help to limit the spread and save lives
21.01.2022 All trails are now open!! At-risk and fallen trees have been removed. Please don't be concerned about smouldering logs and the like. This will dissipate Thankyou everyone for respecting the closures whilst the area is made safe ... Happy riding (and thanks to QPWS for the updates)
20.01.2022 Controlled burn planned for Daisy tomorrow (Wed May 13). Possum Box, Jumping Ant and Chipline (aka Tunnel of Love) will be closed. Please stay away from the area for everyone's safety
18.01.2022 Please note: the 5 Ways and surrounding trails are closed due to a number of hazards. It's anticipated they'll reopen mid next week
17.01.2022 Snap Shot of 1 of 2 trail fairies on Strava today at Jim Finch Trail 9. With 23 wheel barrow loads 13.5 k.s a rutted section of trail is transformed into a left hand berm that flows.
17.01.2022 The most anticipated event of the year is happening this Sat .... (well, almost)
16.01.2022 A HUGE thank you to the Mtn Bike Community for their patience and respecting the Trail Closed information, for Koala Trail. This made our job safe and free flowing. The photos show the changes to the tight right hand berm, incorporating a small table top, trail alignment berm and rollover, prior to the creek.
16.01.2022 We're continuing our effort to install features on Jim Finch trail tomorrow (Sat) from 8:15am. Would be great to have a couple of trail builders join us. Need to wheelbarrow road base and rock, and create some rollers, tabletops and jumps.
15.01.2022 Encouraged by LCC commencing some dialogue around the value of investing in sustainable MTB trails https://m.youtube.com/watch

13.01.2022 RIPLEY'S UPDATE Works on Ripley's are taking a little longer than expected with the trail now due to reopen late Monday
12.01.2022 We had 9 adults and 8 young people attend trail care on Koala trail this morning. A massive amount of soil and rock were moved to realign the trail. Drainage, rollover and berm, provide an excellent transitional at this turn safely between the trees. Further along the trail, another berm and drainage were put in at an off camber section, along with another rollover providing flow to the trail. Thanks to those who slowed at the work site and not so much to those who didn't.
12.01.2022 Hello peeps. Confirming your trails are open. Be safe - it's never been more important than nowHello peeps. Confirming your trails are open. Be safe - it's never been more important than now
11.01.2022 Rectified the last berm on Jim Finch/Track 9. And added a jump while we were at it. Enjoy!
11.01.2022 TRACK CLOSURE - UPDATE It's anticipated Ripley's will remain closed until Friday as maintenance works continue, including the use of machinery. There may also be further works on Glider near the quarry at some stage this week, but most of the trail is currently open.... Please enjoy the other trails in the meantime.

09.01.2022 A trail fairy and a LCC bushy completed rectification works on Koala Trail. The work was needed to bring the trail entry back into alignment to protect surrounding vegetation. Infilled planting of grasses and other natives was completed as well.
09.01.2022 ALERT Parts of Ripley's and Glider are closed for maintenance and machinery is being used. There is very clear barrier tape to show that the trails are closed. ... Grateful if you can stay off the trails until the works are completed and the trails are bedded in. To those that are ingnoring the barrier tape - you're damaging the works underway and delaying the reopening of the trails. Please try thinking beyond yourself. Tks, Daisy Hill Trail Care
08.01.2022 Something's getting a makeover. Maybe more than a makeover. I wonder where?

05.01.2022 A lot of work was done today. Thank you to the 10 Trail Care Volunteers who braved the elements this morning on Koala Trail. The photos show the changes to the left hand berm prior to the small rock garden below. The work incorporated reshaping the turn, drainage and rollover. For the regular trail users, in one of the photos something is missing? It was decided the change was needed to protect surrounding vegetation, eliminate erosion, due to continual secondary trail lines.
04.01.2022 Seven Daisy Hill Trail Care crew spent 5 hours realigning the trail on the top section of Koala Trail today. The big berm was remove with the materials being reused for the build. Great to have many riders say gidday and walk through the work area.

03.01.2022 Further update to yesterday's below .... Labor has committed up to $1m to Daisy's trails!!!! IMPORTANT UPDATE... We're continuing to work hard to maintain your trails and evolve them into better experiences. The land managers - QPWS and LCC - provide great support for our initiatives and so too those that participate in our TrailCare working bees. This year we've seen a significant increase in usage and weather conditions have not been in our favour. Keeping the trails in good working order that helps protect the bushland has been a task. We're spending considerable time with land managers to plan rectification works and in recent times we've lobbied for additional trails for improved access and connectivity, but also to cater for varied rider ability. A large investment has been made upgrading Daisy's common use areas, being stage 1, and tomorrow an announcement will be made regarding stage 2. We're told that announcment may include some exciting news for Daisy's trails. So make sure you check back in tomorrow for details. In the meantime, enjoy your riding, stay safe and do check out Track 9 (just make sure your suspension's fully open!)
02.01.2022 Oh my, how dusty is Daisy! She desperately needs some rain. In the meantime, don't forget to wash your drivetrains. Happy riding peepsOh my, how dusty is Daisy! She desperately needs some rain. In the meantime, don't forget to wash your drivetrains. Happy riding peeps
02.01.2022 **UPDATE: 10 July** Koala Mountain Bike Track - Closed for maintenance this Saturday 11 July. Work is expected to commence at 8am and completed by 12pm that d...ay. Expect upgrades to eroded sections of track including track drainage. The track will be closed to the public until works are complete. Signage will be placed at the 5 entry points in Daisy Hill Conservation Park to notify of the closure of Koala Trail. Thank you for your patience
01.01.2022 CLOSURE We're advised the land at the end of Koala (immediately north of North Track firebreak) will remain closed while QPWS consider how it will be incorporated into the broader conservation park (entries, exits, signage, MTB trails etc)
01.01.2022 Can you help? Daisy Hill's first ever MTB race takes place this Sat. Event organisers need some marshalls to keep those riders on the course! Email Jo if you can help ... [email protected] https://rockytrailentertainment.com//2020-events-qld/logan/
01.01.2022 Apols to those that saw my earlier (and now deleted) post. Daisy was added to the 'closed parks' list overnight. But alas, in the details it states that trails remain open. Yay! Apols for the confusion ... Struggling to decipher the QPWS announcements!
