25.01.2022 Good morning Thursday These photos are quite old - a gentleman by the name of Mr Bill Copas posted these to me They are tiny and on the back of each one in beautiful handwriting tells the story - mostly says Mrs Johnson However on the back of one pic there are two names - ... Mr William Melbourne George Porter and Daisy Johnstone That is exactly the spelling too I am extremely Thankful to have this history and very grateful that Mr Copas posted to me We opened today at 10 am and we close at 3 pm Suej and The Team

22.01.2022 Morning Sunday Breakfast today - open at 7.30 am Close at 3 pm Daisy’s was tiny - The Rustic Cabin - as far as I am able to make out , this building would have been the one that was moved to its current location ... When the highway was moving , the main roads department moved Daisy’s - during the week I spoke to a man that was actually part of the gang that moved the cabin and Mr Platt told me that my Grandfather was there helping - Just a little bit of history Happy Sunday everyone Suej and The Team

22.01.2022 Hello HOT Friday Mr Ron Platt posted me some very special items - yes very blessed In the package that came I found a booklet on the road changes that took place in 1985... Mr Platt sent a number of items and a letter with some really interesting information I called Mr Platt and thanked him for such kindness and as we chatted he told me many stories about Daisy and also , that to this day he still comes out and checks up to make sure all is safe Amazing We opened at 10 am today and close at 3 pm Suej and The Team

Over 70 years ago my uncle was sent to Montrose in Brisbane as he had contracted polio - amazing to think that all these years later Montrose is still here helping soooooooo many people If you haven’t heard of Montrose please google and I am sure you will be amazed too Have a stunning day Suej and The DP Team

13.01.2022 Afternoon everyone Daisy’s Place is closed now for the Christmas break Please know that we are very grateful for everyone that has made contact with us and to ALL of you that came to visit Daisy’s since March - to explore the menu and to enjoy the gardens and to just pop in and say hello- THANK YOU ... Wishing everyone a very safe Merry Season and may 2020 be kind to us all If wanting to contact Daisy’s , please email [email protected] Or and send a message through Facebook We opened in March and it has certainly been a big year - Currently, personally, I am working on what 2020 will look like and at the same time, staying present to being very grateful for all that is Like many of us , we were hit by the hail - The car used for Daisy’s was completely written off , Whirly Birds completely smashed , power line pulled from the post and the Air Conditioning units near smashed to bits - We are waiting on parts for some items to be able to be fixed in the New Year and we were lucky enough to be able to run the Air Conditioners right to our last day of trade - however this has not been recommended to continue and so we do keep our fingers crossed for the parts necessary to arrive, as quickly as possible. Would truly love any feedback on what YOU would like to see at Daisy’s - my personal email is [email protected] Please feel free to make contact with any ideas, any changes , menu ideas. Very much looking forward to 2020 in business- there is much to be done 2020 will see more changes to the road out front and we do wish the Road Team all the very best - once finished we may even have signs and let’s hope that we get to be on the GPS system Wishing The Team a wonderful break - in the hospitality business it is rare for this industry to take time with family and friends at Christmas and New Year , however I feel it is a great time to be able to rest and reflect and get ready for another new year - best wishes Enjoy Big hugs, Suej (Owner of Daisy’s Place )

10.01.2022 Morning Friday Early this morning we attended the opening of a wonderful Respite Centre in Mooloolah An amazing Backyard Blitz occurred not so long ago for a very stunning Mum and her Daughter This has now turned into a place where others are also able to visit and stay Bassett Barks are very excited to be a part of this ... True story- they are When I purchased the cabin , the name - the rustic cabin was for sale but at a price and when I heard the price, I looked out the window and across to the cemetery and I thought of Daisy and that’s how the name came about ...
