25.01.2022 Where were you? Here's what you missed @ Ekarting Toowoomba informal race 1: https://youtu.be/6Ujxv6RIVXQ The drivers were real, the racing was virtual.

25.01.2022 https://youtu.be/y67x0Hu8ssU In the short term, our sport has gone online. Real F1 drivers are switching to their simulators. Will you join in? www.ekarting.net.au... As the numbers increase, ekarting.net.au will schedule events, and begin to do so in classes when the grids start to fill up. Here's what you need: 1. Kart Racing Pro (from Steam ~$54)** 2. Logitech G25 Steering Wheel and Pedals (or similar) ~$325 3. Headset with microphone 4. PC running Windows** 5. Internet** ** essential items

24.01.2022 Announcing NEW MotoSponder Pro Trak Tags! For this race meet (22nd AUG) we are requiring that ALL OPEN PERFORMANCE and 4 STROKES buy this new tag. Our timing system is doing an OK job, but we still get missed detections on faster karts (eg: Open Performance) and when tags are damaged.... To help improve the system, we are introducing a NEW more durable re-designed transponder for the MotoSponder system. Pro Trak Tag is better than the sticker type tags. The chip inside the Pro Trak tag is the latest technology and is more sensitive (i.e. better detection at faster speeds) than the chip inside the sticker tag. The Pro Trak is more durable and works when mounted on metallic and carbon fiber surfaces and pretty much all other surfaces. The club will sell these for $20 each. For this race meet (22nd AUG) we are requiring that ALL OPEN PERFORMANCE and 4 STROKES buy this tag. We will phase in other classes at the next race meet. The track is open TODAY for practice (FRI 21st AUG) and into the late evening (despite the cold!), so feel free to come and fit a new Pro Trak Tag to you kart to be ready for racing tomorrow.

All members must re-new their membership at the next race meet. The fees will be as follows:... a: Family Membership $180 There will be limits set on this type of membership this year and will allow for up to 2 parents + up to 3 children under the age of 18 years and all residing at the same address. b: Single Membership $100 The membership is for 1 year, AUG to AUG. A revised membership form will be available soon and posted to FB and the web page. Forms will also be available on race day. If a past member chooses not to re-new, then non-membership race fees will be charged, until membership is paid. Members who do not renew, will lose their PIN code to the gate. 3. Nominations on Race Day will close 1 hour before driver's briefing. In the future (eg: 2021) the club will introduce online nominations. 4. COVID19 registration and tracking will continue as required. For 22nd AUG race meet we will use William's Security (paid contractor) but look to use club members/volunteers for future race meets. 5. Please be patient and the committee will sort it out. 8. All committee positions were declared vacant. Nominations for the positions of President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary were called for: The following nominations were put forward and accepted President Tim Bliesner Vice President Jamie Powell Treasurer Josh Betts Secretary Gwenda Carroll No other nominations were received, and with no objections from other members present, the new Committee was passed.

20.01.2022 Please be advised the Dalby Kart Club is CLOSED to all members until further notice, due to government regulations. Non-essential services, no gatherings, no travel, etc. Stay at home please. Although I would dearly like to keep it open, it would be an offence to keep the facility open, sorry. The gate key will be removed from the key box. We will consider a "booking" system for single, limited use, if we can determine it is "allowed" under the current regulations, which are ...getting tighter every day. But for now, we are CLOSED, sorry. President Tim Bliesner

19.01.2022 #FlashbackFriday. Since our Community Sponsorship Program started in 2018, 54 not-for-profit beneficiaries in the Banana Shire and Western Downs have shared in ...over $400,000 of sponsorship funding. In June 2019 we provided sponsorship for the Dalby Kart Club Inc to install a new BBQ area shade structure at its race track. The structure has provided a comfortable place for spectators to watch the karting action, protected from the harsh sun of the Western Downs. "If we didn't have a shade structure, then we wouldn't have spectators sitting here watching the karts," Club President Tim said. Learn more in the video below. #westerndowns

02.01.2022 Here's what you missed tonight @ Dalby Kart Club Ekarting session.

02.01.2022 Greetings All, It's with sadness that I write this post! Firstly, thank you to all members who do the right thing and keep our club great! To those who don't, you are not welcome to you use our club and this will be the last warning. Gate key will be removed and lock changed if this continues. Individual memberships can and will be revoked, if same offenders.... Problems: 1. No booking for practice. NO BOOKING, NO PRACTICE. Booking must be in YOUR name (or added to the notes). If you can't use FB, send a TXT, email or carrier pidgeon. We MUST have a record of your visit for COVID-19 reasons. NO EXCEPTIONS. We have cameras. We know who was there and not booked. 2. TOWER IS OUT OF BOUNDS TO ALL. 2x kids were recorded clearly on our cameras, (we know who they are) going to the tower. Shortly after, there was no power to vital equipment and switches were found OFF. All recorded on camera. Think a bit harder. Cameras keep recording even after power off! 3. People standing OUT ON THE TRACK un-necessarily (not behind tyres, on the edge of the track) while karts practicing at full speed. Do you want to be hit by a kart at full speed? Who is the parent? Seriously. Caught on Camera. 4. Kids driving OUT OF THE PIT GATE and around to the in-grid. What does the STOP sign mean? Pit gate should be closed as much as possible. Sometimes brakes fail, and only the CLOSED GATE will stop the kart. There is a reason! 5. Kids on track with NO NECK BRACE. If this is your child, you (the adult) are an idiot. Caught on Camera. You might be soft in the head, but don't let your child suffer as a result. 6. NO PARKING IN THE PADDOCK AREA. Park cars and trailers OUTSIDE the white fence. What does a NO ENTRY sign mean? 7. Tyre barriers knocked over. If you knock the tyres over, YOU FIX THEM! Simple. Enough said. Call me if this was you and you want to say something about it, before I talk to you next. Tim Bliesner President - Dalby Kart Club 0403 498 091
