11.01.2022 G'day All, this Sunday 4th October you are welcome to join us for worship as we have part 4 (of 6) of our preaching series, 'Songs of Devotion'. This week we'll be looking at the Song of Songs, and like the Beatles, we'll be seeing how 'money can't buy me love'. You're welcome to join us at church, or online from 9.30am.

10.01.2022 Today in Kids’ Church we studied Luke 3:4-6, which describes John the Baptist calling out in the desert for people to ‘prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him... The crooked roads shall become straight, the rough ways smooth. And all mankind will see God’s salvation.’ As we worked through the steps of making Christmas tree shaped decorations, we talked about how preparing for Christmas during Advent points us to God; how when things get a bit wobbly for us,... like the wobbly branches on our decorations, God is always there; how Jesus came to show us the right and true path; and how Jesus living life on earth with us was the ultimate sign that God wants us to live our lives in close friendship with him. He’s not distant - he is Emanuel - God with us. The children then lead the congregation in prayer, thanking God for giving us life, for being there for us when life feels wobbly, and for making our crooked paths straight and the rough places smooth.

09.01.2022 G'day All, this coming Sunday (8th Nov) we're going to be looking at 1st Thessalonians 4:13-18 and asking how we can find comfort in the face of death. We'll also get some help in understanding how to respond to the idea of 'The Rapture' which has been a popular theology among Christians in the last few decades. We'd love to see you on Sunday. Service will also be live-streamed on this page. To whet your appetite, I invite you to enjoy this recording from Paul Kelly, which is based on this reading and Psalm 23: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g34-nB3oym4

06.01.2022 #RemembranceDay Loving God, we give thanks for the women and men who have answered the call to serve their nation in the defence forces in the past. We give t...hanks for those who serve today. At this time may we remember the past sacrifices that have been made and the current sacrifices that are being made by these people. May we never take peace and security for granted. We pray for the silencing of weapons and the cessation of all forms of harm and abuse. In the name of the prince of peace we pray. Amen.
