25.01.2022 Western Downs Regional Council has asked Dalby Welcoming Community to come up with a way of advertising Dalby’s Delicious & DeLIGHTful Festival throughout the year. We would like all of our artists to send us a sketch of their innovative and creative ideas. Many Cultures - One Community ... Our goal is to have the placemaking artwork in Thomas Jack Park along Drayton Street where it would have maximum exposure to passing traffic. Because metal manufacturing is a significant part of the Dalby economy, a range of metals could be used. The two significant points of the festival we would like to include are community and lanterns. We would also like to make the placemaking art project interactive by providing photo opportunities within the art project. It is anticipated the placemaking art would be lit. For more information, contact Beth on 0419645671. Ideas should be submitted by Friday 18 December to [email protected]

24.01.2022 After much discussion Dalby Welcoming Community has made the difficult decision to cancel Dalby’s Delicious and DeLIGHTful Festival for 2020. We are living in very challenging times and the group felt it was the right decision for our community at this time. Our group thinks this is a great opportunity to make the Festival bigger and better in 2021. ... To do this we would like your input. Give us your ideas on what you would like to see and do at our Delicious and DeLIGHTful Festival in 2021! Let’s come back Bigger, Better Brighter and more Delicious than ever before!

13.01.2022 The Coronavirus has plunged us all into an uncertain time. And we’re being asked to put some physical distance between us at a time we would naturally be comin...g together for support. That's why we have launched the Culture of Connection campaign. Culture of Connection invites individuals, communities and organisations across Australia to record and share with us your unique experiences, your stories, your creativity and your messages of hope and resilience through these extraordinary circumstances. In turn, we'll share them with our community of 40,000 people across social media and e-news. Your story might just be the one that gets someone else through this time. Read our guide for ideas to share and how to submit your story. Find out more at https://www.multiculturalaustralia.org.au/coronavirus We can stay connected through Coronavirus and emerge from this with a deeper sense of community and an unshakeable shared humanity. 03.01.2022 You with the sad eyes Don't be discouraged Oh I realize Its hard to take courage In a world full of people... You can lose sight of it all And the darkness inside you Can make you feel so small But I see your true colors Shining through I see your true colors And that's why I love you So don't be afraid to let them show Your true colors True colors are beautiful Like a rainbow Show me a smile then Don't be unhappy, can't remember When I last saw you laughing If this world makes you crazy And you've taken all you can bear You call me up Because you know I'll be there And I'll see your true colors Shining through I see your true colors And that's why I love you So don't be afraid to let them show Your true colors True colors are beautiful Like a rainbow If this world makes you crazy And you've taken all you can bear You call me up Because you know I'll be there And I'll see your true colors Shining through I see your true colors And that's why I love you So don't be afraid to let them show Your true colors True colors True colors Shining through I see your true colors And that's why I love you So don't be afraid to let them show Your true colors True colors are beautiful Like a rainbow Source: LyricFind Songwriters: Billy Steinberg / Tom Kelly True Colors lyrics Sony/ATV Music Publishing LLC
