25.01.2022 This week a few of the Women from the Dales South West office had the privilege to attend the #MargaretRiver Chamber of Commerce and Industry Event for International Women’s Day. Here is what Jen had to say about the event: The 2017 Margaret River Chamber of Commerce and Industry Event for International Women’s Day was a huge success with over 130 women attending and 2 very brave men. We were spoilt with fresh jam and cream scones, hot cups of tea and coffee and prizes ga...lore to win in a raffle. Our host was Vanya Cullen of Cullen’s Winery who introduced three guest speakers who told us of their success and achievements, trials and tribulations in becoming the strong women we saw before us. The speakers included Peggy Strudwick-Brown from Kalgoorlie who developed a labour hire company which is now the largest regional business in Australia. We heard from Beck Hannan who ran the Cape to Cape track in less than 24hrs. She ran over 130km during the day and night to become the first woman to achieve this. Charlotte O’Brian spoke of the imposter syndrome where we feel we are never good enough and but that’s a normal feeling amongst women who are great achievers. She also developed a women’s only swimming club and teaches women to swim empowering them at the same time. Charlotte swam the English channel in her earlier days. Overall we were all inspired and enriched for going and listening to these fabulous women. We were spoilt with wine and chocolates at the end and proposed a toast. Here's to strong women. May we know them, may we be them and may we raise them

21.01.2022 What an incredible day the Dales South West crew had volunteering at the Disabled surfers Association - Lets go surfing day! The day started out cold and overcast but the sun came out and a great time was had by all! To those that attended this event and the many others who have attended previous events, we will all tell you what an amazing day it is and such a rewarding experience to give your time and effort to some very special people. The smiles and laughter it bought to ...the participants is priceless and will be a memory that will stay with you forever. There is a lot of time and effort that goes into organizing events like this to happen so our hats go out to Ant and his team, you have done an sensational job. Looking forward to the next event later this year :)

No surfing experience is required just a great attitude and a passion for putting a smile on peoples faces :) Register at the event on the day.... its an amazing and rewarding experience that you will never forget!

15.01.2022 Last week, while visiting our under construction display home in Tyrone Loop Margaret River, our Sales Reps come across a house fire a few doors down. Without hesitation they jumped into action, making sure no one was inside the house and also assisting the neighbors! One of those neighbors was kind enough to say thank you with some flowers, wine and a beautiful card! Just another way Dales is helping out our local communities :)

09.01.2022 This year sees Dale Alcock Homes South West in its second year of sponsorship for WA iSport Inc and we were privileged to be invited along to their Club Uniform presentation and fundraising night. It was a great night with indoor and outdoor games being played and a sausage sizzle for dinner. We were also lucky enough to hand out some uniforms to the participants. They are a great organisation that help people with special needs get active and social and promote a "winning is trying your best" attitude.

02.01.2022 Each year our administration team purchase gifts and donate them to the South West Women's Refuge, and this year is no different! 2016 was our largest donation and will go towards bringing a smile to children's faces, who would have otherwise gone without gifts. Well done Team, this really is the true spirit of Christmas and Community!
