21.01.2022 Since launching the Fuel Price Reporting Scheme earlier this month, approximately 10,000 Tasmanians have already utilised the technology (website and app) to ac...cess real-time fuel prices and find the best deal for fuel around the State. All Tasmanians are encouraged to download the free app. The combined market power of motorists is expected to drive down prices at the fuel bowser. The ‘FuelCheck TAS’ app is available for free download at the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, or to access the website visit www.fuelcheck.tas.gov.au See more

19.01.2022 The Tasmanian Liberal Government is set to reboot the economy with a record construction blitz over two years, underpinning around 15,000 jobs. The package will... build on our Government’s current infrastructure package of $1.8 billion and, in total, will support an estimated construction value of $3.1 billion. As the Minister for Building and Construction, I am thrilled that the centrepiece of the package will deliver 2300 new dwellings, including social and affordable houses across the State. The best way to get our budget back on track and grow business confidence and create jobs is to grow the economy, and that is exactly what our Government is doing. See more

17.01.2022 Because so many young people are only communicating via text or DM, they're not learning vital interpersonal skills. Now, companies have no choice but to teach things like listening, effective communication, feedback, and how to have difficult conversations.

16.01.2022 There are more than 38,000 small businesses and sole traders in Tasmania, and the Tasmanian Government understands they are the backbone of our economy. That is... why we want to provide support through the dark times so that they are in a better position to be with us through the recovery. 11.01.2022 Lauren commenced her Certificate III in Business Traineeship in 2019. Due to COVID-19, Lauren was recently placed on suspension due to the impact on her host bu...siness. Lauren has been flexible in her approach to this scenario and has embraced the opportunity to be placed with another one of our existing Host Business environments. The feedback from the new host about Lauren is glowing. The benefits of being employed by Work & Training has allowed Lauren to be able to progress her Traineeship and further enhance her skillset even in uncertain economic times. 11.01.2022 Although we technically still have 4 weeks to go before the expiry of this $150,000 instant asset write off initiative, we are asking ANYONE who may be looking to take advantage of this to ACT EARLY. Even if you are not as yet sure whether you will be doing something in this space, we would strongly suggest you let us know so we can at least seek the finance approval so you have the facility in place in case you do go ahead. The reasons why we are suggesting you act early are... simply due to:- 1) Most banks and financiers are particularly busy and as a result there are often delays in processing applications, so we want to get your requirements in early. 2) We expect there will be a late minute rush (as there usually is) and we want to get you in ahead of the pack 3) Even if you eventually decide to NOT go ahead, we will have an approval just in case. Please call me on 0419 350 933 so we can get you all sorted ahead of the rush.
