25.01.2022 When it's too wet to work, we go

22.01.2022 Day 86 of the new home build - The cabinetry was finished in a Laminex Australia Snowdrift white gloss, with Pure Mineralstone counter-tops. The island bench is double-sided, with push-to-open doors on the front for a seamless finish, and an Oliveri Australia Diaz double bowl sink installed on top. By day 100, all of the tiling and grouting was completed and we are now patching, sanding and prepping for painting.

20.01.2022 Get a load of this delivery from Dynamic Timbers!

19.01.2022 Our new business cards, labels and magnets arrived! Who's keen for shirts, caps and stubby coolers in the future?

18.01.2022 Now that we've finished the shed conversion, we've moved on to the property next door to put in footings for some dongas.

18.01.2022 Not only do we do new homes, renovations, extensions and sheds, but we can pretty much do anything you need! This little project was building a custom made cot for our new apprentice and refurbishing an old coffee table.

17.01.2022 Day 69 to 84 of the new home build - The laundry and bathroom floors were concreted to achieve fall and waterproofing was applied. The grey floor and feature wall tiles wall were completed. Grout was then applied to the laundry floor in preparation for cabinetry.

17.01.2022 Day 40 to 44 of the new home build - the floor and wall frames are complete! The floor is 19mm hardwood Blackbutt timber, which is bushfire resistant and termite resistant and the sapwood is resistant to lyctine borers. This floor also sits on a termite resistant, wax coated sub-floor.

16.01.2022 Day 59 to 69 of the new home build - The gyprock and plastering has been complete, the edges of the internal floors have been sanded in preparation for varnishing, the custom window sills and architraves have been completed, the internal doors have been custom designed, the external laundry door has been custom built and the tiles have arrived!

15.01.2022 Roof trusses on in 1 day thanks to Mareeba crane hire. The boys were nearly outnumbered today with Kay the chippy and Cassie the dogman on site!

12.01.2022 We like big decks and we cannot lie! Winter is the perfect time to build or re-coat, as it's nice and cool and the products have a better drying rate.

11.01.2022 We're currently constructing the predator rehabilitation enclosure at the Mareeba Wetlands. It's been difficult to get in and out of the site with all the rain!

09.01.2022 It took us 2 hours to get a few hundred meters out of the wetlands yesterday. With a full trailer and no recovery gear on board, who knew how handy star pickets would be! Inspiration for your next episode All 4 Adventure? #makeaplan

08.01.2022 We've been inactive for a while online, as we got married in Queenstown last year and now have a new apprentice on the way!

08.01.2022 External and internal wall frames up in 1 day! Major thanks to Dynamic Timbers and the awesome delivery driver Dave for getting the load to us successfully.

07.01.2022 Day 85 of the new home build - Most of the cabinetry has been installed and the white gloss wall tiles are going up in the bathrooms. An Electrolux wall oven has been installed, which has a gross capacity of 80L, telescopic runners for the racks that can fully extend, mark resistant stainless steel, a cooler touch door and some catalytic cleaning ('self-cleaning' due to the special internal enamel coating.) An Electrolux induction cooktop is also installed, which is excepti...onally efficient and more responsive than a gas cooktop and it can detect pan/pot prescence so that cooking is not restricted to traditional zones. It is entirely flat for ease of cleaning, it has a child-lock ability and is safer than gas or electric - even if the unit is on, it will not heat without a pan touching and it heats the pan, not the surrounding cooking surface. 04.01.2022 We're braving the mud to build a little pole home on existing foundations and a studio that has existing poles.

03.01.2022 Day 49 of the new home build - the electrical, plumbing and soffits have been started, and the hardwood Pacific Jarrah deck is complete (yet to be sanded and varnished). Jarrah has a high resistance to weather, rot, termites and even marine borers, and its density also makes it fire resistant. The huge deck area provides shade and maximises wind flow to naturally keep the house cool, (and it provides a great area for entertaining!)

03.01.2022 Now that we've finished in the wetlands, we're in Millaa Millaa converting a shed into a liveable house. Not a bad view considering the early starts!

01.01.2022 Finishing the little slab for the hot water system and the wheelie bins #dedicated

01.01.2022 The start of a new house for a great family!
