23.01.2022 Spring is almost upon us! Time to start that spring cleaning and all the jobs we have put off over Winter. Its a new month and a new season so now is the perfect time to tackle those tasks we tend to either ignore or delay. 18.01.2022 Guilty or not guilty? Climate change is blamed by the Government for not carrying out prescribed burning pursuant to the 2009 Victoria bushfire Royal Commission recommendations. It is alleged that climate change made it too dangerous to do the prescribed burn offs. Is that a Defence in light of the devastation and loss of life and property which has occurred. If you have a skin cancer your doctor will tell you of the serious risk to your health if you do not take steps to ha...ve them removed. The longer you put it off the worst the skin cancer becomes and the bigger the operation to remove it. The removal of the skin cancer is painful and does cause discomfort for several days and sometimes it has to be done again and again. You can blame the climate for the skin cancer but you can also take steps to deal with the cancer before it is more serious and life-threatening. The Fire Commissioners faced a similar issue. Did the Fire Commissioners make a poor choice by not following the prescribed burning minimum target recommended by the Royal Commission? As each season passed the undergrowth became thicker and more dense and more fuel for the fire which was in evitable. The fires that came have been devastating to flora fauna humans and now water and sea life. How were the Fire Commissioners allowed to make such a serious decision as to ignore the recommendations of a Royal Commission? Why was there not a higher authority for the Fire Commissioners to answer as was recommended by the Royal Commission? Why did the Government not put in place such a higher authority? Did the Government fail to budget for the prescribed burning as was recommended by the 2009 Victoria Bushfire Royal Commission in its recommendation number 56? namely that the States fund and commit to prescribed burning on an annual target of a minimum of 5% of public land . Does it not follow that the devastating extent of the bushfires is because the Government chose not to fund the prescribed burn off target which It knew would then lead to more devastating bushfires? The Governments defence is climate change. How do you judge the Government? Remember it is the States job to look after the forest its flora fauna and waterways. Millions of creatures Koalas Wombats Goannas Bees and more which were burned to death or are now starving as there environment has been destroyed. Peter Daley
17.01.2022 10 years ago bushfires in Victoria killed 173 people and destroyed 2133 homes. The cost of the disaster was estimated at $4 billion. The 2009 Victorian bushfires royal commission was empowered to investigate the fires and to make recommendations to avoid such a disaster in the future. These are my notes from the final report of the Commission made in July 2010. The commission proposed that the State of Victoria should fund a long term program of prescribed burning with an ann...Continue reading

12.01.2022 We would like to announce that our security officer, Jed is retiring after 14 years. He is looking forward to spending more time eating and sleeping and we will spend more time picking up after him. In his 14 years he has seen 2 burglaries. When the police arrived, they said they felt it was an inside job. They found evidence that Jed had accepted food from the villains and had played ball while the crimes occurred. Jed maintained his right to silence and produced evidence that he had eye cataracts and diminished hearing. He has acted as a mentor for and trained Lucas to take over as security for Daley Law Practice in 2019

10.01.2022 George Pell Catholic Cardinal A Jury at his trial after being suitably warned by the Trial Judge decided they were satisfied beyond any reasonable doubt that George Pell had indecently dealt with a boy under the age of 16 years in 1996. The Crown case relied entirely upon the evidence of the boy. George Pell gave a video record of interview wherein he denied in the strongest possible terms the allegations. At his trial many persons gave evidence to the effect that George Pel...l was always accompanied by a priest or other persons at the times he was alleged to have committed the offences. Not only was the boys allegations unsupported by other evidence they were met with unchallenged witnesses who said that George Pell was with them at the time he was alleged to have been committing the offences. George Pell Catholic Cardinal was released from a six year term of imprisonment by all nine Justices of the High Court after he had spent 14 months in solitary confinement in prison, their Honours stating there is a significant possibility that an innocent person has been convicted. How did that eventuate? Was it the media coverage?
