23.01.2022 A big thanks to parents from the staff Dear Parents On behalf of the staff I would like to thank you for your emails and messages of support and care for the staff. It has lifted spirits and has been greatly appreciated.... To the parents who have contributed and organised coffees and snacks for morning tea for the staff wow this was such a kind and caring act. Dalkeith PS teachers have been working together to get ready for remote learning. We will be giving you information before Term 2 about what it will look like for DPS students. When this happens be kind to yourself and other parents. Some will be working from home and super busy while supervising children. Past generations have experienced this before and the children have bounded back when all goes to normal. Children will be learning different things at home. Dont compare what your child is doing at home to others or start feeling inadequate. It is not business as normal. Having your family healthy, happy and feeling connected is whats important. Take care Felicity Dear AM Principal

11.01.2022 Dear Dalkeith PS Parents/Guardians You would have seen in the media a continuing concern regarding the Novel Coronavirus. The Department of Health advises that the risk of transmission remains low; they are monitoring the situation. We are acting on their advice and in conjunction with the Catholic and independent sectors, are implementing necessary precautions for all public and non-government schools across Western Australia.... Health advise that if a student has been in contact with someone who has contracted the virus, they should seek medical advice and stay away from school until they are clear of symptoms for 14 days. As an extra precaution, if a student has travelled to or through China or Hong Kong in the past two weeks, parents are asked to keep them away from school for a period of 14 days from the date they returned to Perth. This is a precaution as the incubation period for this virus can be up to 14 days. After that time, and no symptoms, the student may attend school. If you have any concerns please refer to to the Department of Health website (ww2.health.wa.gov.au/coronavirus) where there is a factsheet for parents and access to a helpline 1800 300 243. As the lead agency, the Department of Health will monitor the situation and we will act on their advice and keep you updated as appropriate. Yours sincerely Felicity Dear AM Principal Dalkeith Primary School
11.01.2022 And its open...Dalkeith Primary School Pool is open for business. Thank you to everyone who made the refurbishment of the pool possible.
11.01.2022 Dear parent/carer Acting on the latest information re novel coronavirus from the Department of Health, the Department of Education is implementing the following for public schools. Students who have been in the Hubei Province of China... Students who have been in the Hubei Province of China must be isolated in their home for 14 days after leaving the Hubei Province, other than for seeking individual medical care. They are not able to attend school, school events, day care centres or residential colleges. This also applies to parents/carers, contractors, visitors and volunteers on school sites and at school events. Parents/carers should notify their school that the student will be away for the isolation period and confirm the date in which they were last in the Hubei Province of China. Students who have returned from (including travelled through) mainland China (excluding the Hubei Province) or Hong Kong Students who have returned from (including travelled through) mainland China (excluding the Hubei Province) or Hong Kong are being asked to stay at home until 14 days after leaving mainland China or Hong Kong. While the risk of the virus spreading is low, this 14 day exclusion is a precaution to ensure the safest possible environment for children. After 14 days, if the student has no symptoms they may attend school. Parents/carers should notify their school that the student will be away for the exclusion period, and confirm the date in which they were last in mainland China or Hong Kong. Students in close contact with a confirmed case If a student has been informed by Public Health authorities they are a close contact of a confirmed case of the novel coronavirus, irrespective of whether they have developed symptoms, they cannot attend school, school events, day care centres or residential colleges until their local public health unit informs them that it is safe for them to do so. This also applies to parents/carers, contractors, visitors and volunteers on school sites and at school events. Parents/carers should notify their school, and evidence from the public health authority is required for the student to return to school. The Department of Health website at https://ww2.health.wa.gov.au/coronavirus has more information on the virus and a WA Coronavirus Hotline, on 1800 300 243. If your child will be away from school for the reasons outlined above, please contact the school to let us know when they were last in China and to discuss any support for your childs learning while they are absent from school. Yours sincerely Felicity Dear AM Principal

01.01.2022 Last Wednesday we ran a program for Dalkeith Primary School at our HBF Stadium facility. The students bought into the day really well and pushed themselves to ...achieve probably more than they thought they could. It was great to see. It was a pretty hot day , but that didnt stop the enthusiasm shown by the students. Well done to everyone and to Angela for beating her fear of heights. Thanks to Lisa and the staff for their involvement. Look forward to seeing you next year. See more
