11.01.2022 Merry Christmas everybody and welcome to the last Paper Adventures blog hop for 2018. The theme for this month is All That Sparkles and my thoughts immediately went to making a card to welcome in the New Year. New Year, or Hogmanay as it is known is Scotland, is very important to me as my late father was Scottish and I have wonderful memories of celebrating as a child. I have used both gold and silver foil card and gold glimmer card to give this card the sparkle that I was... looking for, there is also some sparkle on the inside. I hope you like the design I have created. If you have already visited my friend Narelle’s post I am sure you loved her design.... The theme for this month is Goodbye. Stampin’ Up will be retiring many of my favourite products at the end of May but the good news is that there are lots of beautiful new items being added to the new catalogue. Being born and up in the UK I used to love seeing hedgehogs in the hedgerows so I was very happy to see the Hedgehugs stamp set when it was added to the catalogue and will miss it when it retires at the end of May. With this in mind I decided to make a card using the Hedgehugs stamp set and also another retiring product, the Animal Expedition DSP. One of my sisters-in-law in the UK is having health issues at the moment so I am sending her Hedgehugs from Australia. Thank you to Klompenstampers for inspiring me with her tutorial for a Triangle Fold Card. Another favourite of mine that is also retiring is the All My Love DSP, as it is Mothers’ Day on Sunday in Australia I made this very pretty corner fold card to say goodbye to this very pretty DSP, many thanks to Jan Brown from JanB cards for her amazing tutorial. Next on the blog hop is the very talented Mandy Depiazzi, I know you are going to love her design.

Last Sunday our Paper Adventures team had one of our regular monthly meetings to which we all take a swap, my swap was a project cased from Sam Hammond at Pootles, I love Sams designs and I believe she is one of the most ta...lented Stampin' Up demonstrators. When I got to thinking about my project for the blog hop I decided to use the project from Sunday and to expand it to make it into a pretty Christmas gift. I added two matching cards and also a pizza box which I coloured in Tranquil Tide and made six 3 x 3 notecards to go inside. This pretty set would make a wonderful gift for a family member or friend, or a gift to say thank you, or I appreciate what you do.
