25.01.2022 Path builders distracted by whale passing by at the back of Rock Pools. Next Working Bee this Saturday 9 o'clock south of Baby Daly

24.01.2022 Next Saturday 6th June there's going to be a WORKING BEE AT SALMON HOLE starting at 9 a.m. We're going to be working on the path (so if you have a wheelbarrow and shovel it'd be appreciated) Plus some tree planting.... Sausage Sizzle lunch and good yarns provided. See you there.

22.01.2022 WE DID IT ! The Headland Trail is complete. After 3 winters of working bees over 2 kilometers of dolomite path has been constructed by our volunteers. At least 50 different helpers put in over 400 hours of voluntary work. Lots of it wasn't easy!... like how do you stop a stampeding barrow full of dolomite that wants to go down as steep slope and there's no brakes! We moved way over 100 tonnes and ate a heap of sausages! Now the public has access to a fantastic walk around the Headland we are so proud of! Thanks to all for your incredible efforts. We also appreciated the assistance of the District Council with this project.

20.01.2022 The FORMBY BAY ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION GROUP has a set of VALUES. They are Respect, Care, Share and Enjoy. Despite Covid we have achieved much in the last year. SHARE We donated plants to Adelaide Bushfire Garden Revival, Glenthorne N.P .Innes N.P.and local properties on SYP.... CARE 1550 natives were planted in 10 coastal locations. 350 were planted in fire affected properties at Formby Bay. ENJOY The Surfarama was a great success. The Young and the Wrestlers at the Marion Bay Tavern were a hoot! RESPECT 50 volunteers completed the Headland Trail by carting 120 tonnes of dolomite in wheelbarrows over three winters. The Daly Dunny was built to help people to care for Waluri ,the headland. As a group we try to live by our values ! See more

17.01.2022 DUNNY COMPLETED We are stoked that the dunny is operational after all the years of fundraising and working with the District Council.Hopefully visitors will respect the area more than in the past now that there is an alternative toilet to the clifftop and walking trail. Waluri is an important Narungga site so we are pleased the building is relatively unobtrusive.Much effort went in to the construction by the builder ,The Council, the contractors and the FBEAG team.More landscaping and planting of plants indigenous to the area will be done during future working bees.

17.01.2022 Surfarama 2020 going off

16.01.2022 Daly Doings Theres a bit been happening whilst we have been distancing.A start was made last week on the Daly Dunny. Ed has been working on this project since 1998.The hole was dug in the overflow car park supervised by 3 members of the Narungga Nation to ensure it was not a burial site.FBEAG has asked the Yorke District Council to ensure the dry toilet is built of local stone so it fits better with the environment.More planting was done at the first car park/camping spot from the 60s so the erosion is stabilised.Hopefully we will complete the walking trail in June if we are allowed to have a larger working bee group.

11.01.2022 Another WORKING BEE this Saturday, 9 til 1 p.m. to finish the last section of the Headland Path. We have 16 tonnes of dolomite to lay so please bring your wheelbarrow and shovel. BARBY LUNCH at Dave's shearing shed afterwards. Thanks heaps.... These old fellas have been doing their bit planting.

06.01.2022 We were stoked with the sponsors and supporters huge help backing our SURFARAMA. There are also many others who helped in different ways, big and small. You know who you are and we acknowledge your enthusiasm. Setting up, cooking, selling merch, cleaning up etc - what a great bunch of positive people you are. Last but not least, all those who made the trip (including the entertainers) over to Yorkes. (and locals of course!)

05.01.2022 Country Times, local paper article

05.01.2022 After the Rama We made about $8000 profit at the Surfarama. That's our best result ever. We decided to put money back into the community beyond our normal coastal care initiatives.Three local CFS units will receive $1000 each and the Yorketown Fire Appeal $500. Stoked to be able to support our communities!

01.01.2022 Thanks heaps to everyone who rocked up last weekend for the working bee. Cliff side path completed and hundreds of trees planted.
