We are CFA. #CFAVic #OurCommunityOurCFA

21.01.2022 'WEAR A MASK': The Premier has asked regional Victorians to wear a mask 'as a precautionary measure' -- if they cannot maintain 1.5 metres distance (shopping, p...ublic transport etc.). "It is a small thing but it can make a really big difference in stopping the spread of this virus." This advice now applies to the entire state of Victoria.

21.01.2022 Dalyston CFA celebrated their 75th anniversary last night. Congratulations to Ron, Graeme, Rob, Neil and Roger who all recieved brigade life member awards. Brigade life member awards are presented to members who have given the Dalyston CFA 25 years or more of continuous service. Thank-you everyone who helped make this night happen.

18.01.2022 We were called out to a "small" fire in wonthaggi last night. Multiple brigades all worked together to keep the fire contained. No buildings were impacted nor are there any injuries. Thank-you to everyone who helped out. Just a reminder that if you do see a large fire and a lot of red and blue flashing lights.. please try to avoid the area so we can get to the emergency quickly.

17.01.2022 Stage 3 lockdown begins this week in Melbourne. Bass Coast is unaffected at this stage.

12.01.2022 Additional cases and outbreaks of #COVID19 are expected in Victoria as this illness continues to spread across the world. Now is the time to sensibly plan for ...the possibility of transmission of #Coronavirus disease the coming weeks. Here are 5 steps to consider: 1. Protect yourself by washing your hands regularly with soap and water; and try not to touch your face, including your eyes, nose or mouth. This is because one way to become infected is to transfer the virus from a contaminated surface to the face or mouth by touching 2. As you may need to isolate at home if exposed to a person with confirmed infection, you could add a few more essential items to your regular shop now. 3. Check in on elderly friends, neighbours, and people with a disability in your community and think about how you how you would support each other 4. Make a plan on how you and your family (including pets) would have to manage if you needed to stay at home for 2-3 weeks 5. Fill prescriptions of essential medicines so you have enough if you have to stay home for 2-3 weeks for any reason For up to date information and reliable advice, visit https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/victorian-public-coronavirus-di

05.01.2022 Please do not donate goods! We are overwhelmed by donations in our relief centres and it is diverting resources away from critical tasks. The best way you can help impacted communities is through financial donations. Visit vic.gov.au/bushfireappeal to help us help these communities.

02.01.2022 Yesterday's fire at Grantville was in a hard to reach location. Whilst there was no access for tankers and a tricky track to navigate with ultralights we are lucky we can call on the helicopters to help get the upper hand and minimise the spread of fire. Well done to all the crews who helped out.
