21.01.2022 Hi Everyone. We thought it would be good to give everyone an update regarding our trading times over Easter. Due to the current crisis, we have decided to close for the entire Easter period. We believe it is in the best interest of our customers and staff that we don't trade over the Easter weekend including Good Friday. This has been a very difficult decision for our business as Good Friday is our biggest sales day of the year. It is for this reason that it would be inapprop...riate to trade on a day that we know we will struggle to control the number of customers in our store. We hope you understand the reasons for this decision. We will continue to trade as long as we are allowed and will continue to serve the Takeaway food we are famous for. Our Kitchen hours remain unchanged: Mon - Closed Tue - 8am to 2:30pm Wed - 8am to 6:45pm Thu - 8am to 6:45pm Fri - 8am to Last Orders Sat - 8am to Last Orders Sun - 8am to 6:45pm Thanks to everyone for your continued support.

16.01.2022 We have more great news to share.....Dalyston General Store has been selected as a finalist in the Australian Small Business Champion Awards 2020! Cas and I are so proud of our little store....in particular our wonderful staff and supportive customers. We will be travelling up to Sydney on the 21st of March to contest the awards and represent our store and town.... Go Daly!

16.01.2022 Hi All, just a quick note to confirm that we are open and trading as normal. Our store is first and foremost a General Store/Post Office and will continue to trade during these uncertain times. We have implemented strict hygiene processes and we ask all customers to adhere to the current social distancing practices. We have a good stock of groceries, milk, bread, etc. and will continue to replenish these goods to the best of our ability. We have implemented limits on several ...items to ensure there is enough for everyone...particularly our more vulnerable residents. 15.01.2022 Hi All, Due to the significant improvement in Covid-19 case numbers, particularly in the surrounding area we have decided to reopen our kitchen from Wednesday the 26th of Aug. To assist with maintaining the health and safety of our customers and staff, we have implemented several changes to the way our business will operate, this includes:... As a condition of entry, all customers must sanitise their hands & wear an appropriate face covering. Maximum number of customers allowed in the store at any time is 8. Customers waiting for food orders must use the designated waiting area (Maximum of 4). All customers waiting for food will be issued with a pager. This will allow you to wait outside or in your car. The pager will Beep/Vibrate to alert you that your order is ready. Phone orders are highly encouraged. We ask that only one person from your group enter the store to place or pickup orders. Menus are available in store or on our Facebook page. We are confident these changes will assist to keep our customers and staff safe and we look forward to serving Bass Coast’s finest Take away food again. 12.01.2022 Hi All, After much consideration we have decided to close our kitchen until further notice. Due to the Covid-19 crisis, we have grown increasingly concerned for the health and safety of our customers and staff. It is for this reason that we have decided to take this action. ... In the face of increasing infection numbers in our surrounding regions (Particularly Casey & Latrobe), we all need to do our part to STAY HOME, WEAR A FACE COVERING & PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING. We will continue to monitor the situation with a view to reopening our kitchen ASAP. Although our kitchen will be closed, we will continue to operate as a General Store & Post Office. We will also have a small range of hot pies/sausage rolls as well as freshly made rolls and cakes.
