25.01.2022 Can you believe there are just 91 days until Christmas? Entries are now open for my 2020 Christmas card competition. It is open to all primary school aged children in Nicholls. Pictured here is my Christmas card from last year, which was designed by Isobella Church from Nanneella. For more information, or to download an entry form, visit: https://bit.ly/33YiGqN #improud
18.01.2022 New research shows that 9 in 10 Australians want us to produce more locally made goods. When you buy Australian Made you aren’t just supporting one Aussie manufacturer. You are supporting a range of businesses and workers right along the supply chain, including in food and beverage, agriculture and retail. The Federal Government is finalising its manufacturing strategy to drive Australia’s economic recovery. #improud #regionsmatter
17.01.2022 I’m thrilled that a large portion of this federal funding will be spent on projects that will help people keep active, such as the construction of walking tracks at Tallygaroopna and Tatura. I look forward to working with council to ensure these projects are finished as soon as possible so the community can enjoy the benefits. #regionsmatter #improud
17.01.2022 I’m proud to be Foodshare’s monthly partner this September. This is a very challenging time for our community, and I encourage you to donate food staples to this vital organisation. More information, including drop-off locations, is available at sheppartonfoodshare.org.au #improud
16.01.2022 Great to be out in Tatura this morning alongside Master Builders Victoria highlighting the positive impact of the Federal Government’s $25,000 HomeBuilder grant scheme. #ImProud
16.01.2022 My statement on the imminent easing of restrictions in regional Victoria. Having failed once, Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews must spare no cost or resource in ensuring regional Victoria is protected from people wanting to leave Melbourne. #regionsmatter

12.01.2022 National Agriculture Day is being celebrated today. A huge thank you to everyone involved in this incredibly important sector, particularly those in the Nicholls electorate. The Federal Government remains committed to advancing agriculture in Australia and reinforcing its significance on the world stage. Our Ag2030 plan sets out the Government's current actions to support the agricultural sector's ambitious goal of growing to a $100 billion industry by 2030. 11.01.2022 I congratulate The Goulburn Valley News for launching its online offering today. Humbled to be named one of Shepparton’s most influential people. As always, I will use any influence I have for the betterment of people and places across this great region. #improud #regionsmatter
11.01.2022 It is good to see the Prime Minister calling for a more common sense approach to the current state border closures - something I have been saying for many weeks. Let's hope some changes are made in the coming days. #regionsmatter

10.01.2022 It was great to visit the Gargarro Botanic Gardens site recently, where I got an update from Doc McDonald and Bernie Ryan. The Federal Government, via the Stronger Regional Communities Program, is providing almost $10,000 for the amphitheatre's lighting. The Gargarro Botanic Gardens will see the creation of a unique and world class botanical installation. I encourage you to take a look at the impressive fly-through: https://bit.ly/2KecrsM #regionsmatter #improud
08.01.2022 After 138 days, the Victorian-NSW border finally re-opened this morning, allowing friends and family to reunite. It also means industry can operate without the need for a permit. Also, from today, you don’t need to wear a mask outside. I personally want to thank everyone for your hard work and sacrifices in helping us to get to this stage. #improud
08.01.2022 Let’s not wait for another drought to act on water policy reform. #regionsmatter
07.01.2022 I love a good sod turning! Particularly when it’s for such an exciting project like the $5 million Museum of Vehicle Evolution in Kialla, which the Federal Government is supporting with $2.5 million of funding. It’s going to be a great celebration of the Goulburn Valley’s transport history, drawing tourists from all over the country. #improud #regionsmatter
07.01.2022 Tomorrow is R U OK? day. It is also World Suicide Prevention Day. With COVID-19 restrictions limiting our ability to socialise and enjoy normal activities, taking care of your mental health and checking in on those close to you has never been more important. Anyone who needs immediate support can call Beyond Blue on 1300 224 636, Lifeline on 13 11 14, or by visiting the Government’s mental health portal, Head to Health, at headtohealth.gov.au #RUOKDay #theresmoretosay
07.01.2022 Great to be in Cobram this morning to officially open the town's new $1.7 million sporting pavilion, which the Federal Government contributed $615,000 to. There is now an increased opportunity of hosting high-profile soccer games and championships, leading to greater tourism expenditure. Another key aspect was to make the change rooms more female-friendly to meet the demand of increased female participation in sport. Read more: https://bit.ly/35zkitu #improud #regionsmatter
07.01.2022 The Wrap - September 4 Having listened to farmers and irrigators, as well as intense lobbying by Nationals MPs, the Federal Government today unveiled what should be viewed as an important first step in water policy reform. This includes splitting the Murray-Darling Basin Authority and ruling out future water buy backs. This morning I visited Merrigum Football Netball Club, which will have its netball courts upgraded thanks to $1 million of federal funding that was made available to Greater Shepparton City Council. I also got a tour of the new Shepparton Art Museum, which is going to be an invaluable asset for the Goulburn Valley. #RegionsMatter #ImProud

We’re looking for projects across a range of areas such as pest control, vegetation management, farm input efficiency, climate and market management, and the use of new technologies. Find out more at https://bit.ly/31oen8c Applications close October 9. #regionsmatter
03.01.2022 My statement on the roadmap announced by Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews yesterday. To regional Victorians, it feels a lot more like a roadblock. #regionsmatter
02.01.2022 When it's said and done, there is nobody in the bureaucratic system, or in the regulatory system, that has actually been looking after our irrigators. #regionsmatter
02.01.2022 I have been writing to Water Minister Keith Pitt relentlessly about this in recent months and, according to The Weekly Times, it appears some movement is in the works. #regionsmatter
02.01.2022 To all the fathers out there, I hope you get spoilt in some way today. To all the sons and daughters unable to visit their dad today because of COVID restrictions, I hope you’re able to connect in some way.
