24.01.2022 St Moritz - Switzerland ______________________________________________ Ok, so this isn't quite St Moritz but it's as close as I can get to where I remember taking this shot. I was in the Italian Alps on a bit of a cycling holiday and the weather had really packed it in for the day. We jumped in the car and headed out from Bormio up the infamous Passo dello Stelvio (Stelvio Pass for you uncultured ones...) and back down the Umbrail Pass into Switzerland. We had no idea whe...re we were going and saw the sign to St Moritz and thought 'let's head there for lunch!' After a lunch of something delicious covered in cheese, we headed back to Italy via a different route. Around a bend we come and these gnarly big peaks are just looming in the distance. Quickly pulling over, I pulled out the telephoto to get right in on the action and capture some of the stunning detail in these formations. 20.01.2022 Craig’s Hut, Victorian High Country - Victoria, Australia ______________________________________________ Whilst this particular hut was made for a movie set in the 1990’s, it sure does serve as a great replica of what can be found through Australia’s High Country. Hut’s where stockmen would shelter from the elements whilst moving their cattle through the area for grazing. ... 20.01.2022 Washer Woman, Canyonlands National Park - Utah, USA ______________________________________________ Reaching back to January 2013 here, hard to believe it has been five years since I visited these amazing National Parks tucked away in the South West of the United States. The sky was on fire this particular morning as I was competing for space with other photographers at Mesa Arch. In the summer months there has even been fist fights over poor tripod etiquette - lucky in ...the dead of winter there are only a few photographers and it’s too cold to get a hot temper . 20.01.2022 I remember the first time I visited Tekapo, the place was fairly deserted as far as tourists go. There were a couple around but not the hoard that I experienced on this day. The saddest thing I saw though was not one visitor put a cent into the donation box at the church. As people take this place for granted, the restrictions slowly are put into place, like the big fence that surrounds the church now. 17.01.2022 Lake Bled, Slovenia One of the most pristine towns I visited on my trip to Europe in 2015 would have been Bled, Slovenia. Not only was it so tidy and beautiful, everyone was active, walking, running, cycling and rowing around the stunning lake. To top it off, this Baroque style church was built on an island in the middle of the lake, accessible only by boat. 13.01.2022 Long time no post! This year has been insanely busy for myself with my work and family life consuming me. I haven’t been out for a shoot since I visited Norway in January, how slack! In May my partner and I welcomed our son into our lives, so it was only fitting that we throw him into the deep end with a quick trip to New Zealand to see how he travels.
