Karen was a super talented singer, songwriter and d...rummer who, along with her brother Richard Carpenter played in their band The Carpenters. Her skills as a drummer earned admiration from drumming luminaries and peers, but she is best known for her vocal performances. Sadly we lost Karen in 1983 due to heart failure caused by complications from the eating disorder anorexia nervosa. So sad... Here is a performance of the Carpenters with Karen on drums in 1976... 04.01.2022 I have a Drum Student who has been working hard on his Playing for a year or so, but still didnt have a kit. So I sourced this one second-hand, and went halves with his Guardian- an early Xmas present for him. The look on his face when he saw it was priceless!

01.01.2022 OPEN FOR TERM 2 2020- ONLINE LESSONS AVAILABLE I will be open for business as usual in term 2, with some extra precautions of course- wiping down seats etc with alcohol, and all students must bring their own drumsticks and plectrums. We will be observing social distancing, and keeping the room as open to the outside air as possible. ONLINE LESSONS- I will be offering lessons online for those who prefer to stay at home. I use Apple devices so we can use Facetime if you do too.... Otherwise, Im happy to try your preferred platform- Zoom, Skype, etc. Learn Guitar, Drums, Bass, or Vocals with a very experienced player/ teacher. Not just lessons but actual jamming- learn how to play in a band, along with other instruments!
