24.01.2022 Wrap up for the season...

21.01.2022 Happy Mothers Day.. thought I would share a Snapper pic to celebrate our Mums ... better go with my pb fish. This male I caught one rough November night at midnight in 4 meters of water. It was blowing hard and I could only fish 2 rods. The fish howled off. After a hard dogged fight i saw a beautiful white underbelly coming up in the moonlight. What a beast it was.. 99 cm 11.6 kg.

21.01.2022 One of my first truely big Tasmanian Reds. 11.1 kg female I caught from the Tamar River back in 1997. It was definitely my most successful year for big fish. I landed three fish over 9.5 kg that particular session. I will never forget it !!!!!!

20.01.2022 Bit of a old classic back in 1999. my first big Red from the North East of Tasmania. I caught him at low tide in 6 meters of water just before day break. The big male weighed in at 10.1 kg just over 22lb. #visitnortheasttasmania #reedysrigs #fishingtasmania #snapper #stoked #kingbait

20.01.2022 Probably one of most memorable catches from the Tamar River in Tasmania. A 7.2 kg Snapper from the yak. It certainly was a bit of a buzz..

19.01.2022 A Nice Female Tasmanian Snapper taken from the Tamar River a couple of years back. It weighed in at 8.5 kg. It was taken through the day on the edge of a deep muddy channel.

17.01.2022 A nice fish taken early season 2001 from the Tamar River . I caught him at 2.30 am in very shallow, about 4m. He weighed in at 9.7 kg.

12.01.2022 My good mate and Victorian Snapper/Mulloway legend Sean Brodie, with his first Tamar River Snapper. It took us a full week of fishing to catch this fish, but the last night of Seans trip the Snapper Gods rewarded us with this beautiful 9 kg female. Sean also works for the Victorian Fisheries, the otoliths and eggs where sent back to Victoria to MAFRI to do some research on Tasmanian Snapper.

11.01.2022 A good feed of Tasmanian Tamar River Reds when I lived on the shores of the Tamar near Batman bridge. My Son Benjamin was out with me this morning and landed the biggest . We end up with 6 nice fish between 3 to nearly 8 kg. It was a lively session. #reedysrigs #kingbait #goodmemories

04.01.2022 Another oldie, circa 2001 , the picture was taken on daylight where I called into my mates old river boat for a cuppa after spending all night fishing out of my 12 foot tinny. I caught the Tasmanian Snapper at 2 am in only 1m of water on a low tide change from the Tamar River. The red weighed about 7.5 kg.
