24.01.2022 BOWLS and BEEF ROLLS tomorrow night at the Dampier Bowls Club arriving at 6:30 to start at 7pm. (change from burgers for tonight) enquiries to Roz 0417979587 - come along and join in our Scroungers competition night.

23.01.2022 OMG our poor club took a beating including the Dampier Chinese so we club rooms and Chinese will be closed until further notice on advice from RIO etc. Floor is... flooded and part of the roof on the ocean side missing. Trees and palms are down and outside fans are all bent and twisted. Our NEW shutters that RIO organised worked well with only 2 on the ocean side damaged. I hate to think what would have happened without the shutters. Ever so grateful to RIO,. There is also a power box on its side down near the bowling green and this has been reported to Pilbara Utilities. There is also a water leak at the ocean corner of the carpark opposite the school. I believe it is the main water line down to the club. We have also reported this to Pilbara Utilities We will keep you posted once discussions are held with RIO.

12.01.2022 A huge thankyou to Rio Tinto for our new shutters at the Dampier Bowling Club just in time for this cyclone. Hopefully the roof will be ok.

12.01.2022 TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE DAMPIER BOWLING CLUB AND DAMPIER CHINESE WOW, work has commenced at the Dampier Bowling Club to repair cyclone Damian damage. Thanks so much to RIO. Sodexo and Majun workers will be onsite until about the end of October so unfortunately there won't be any bowling happening at the Dampier Bowls Club with the exception of our competition bowls which finishes in October anyway. NO Friday scroungers after tonight or any other functions. Sorry for any in...convenience, but the final result will be: New Roof, ceiling and lights inside New lighting on the patio and paintwork New fans on the patio New vinyl planking flooring so the old carpet is going! It will be amazing. Christmas booking can be made for dates from Mid November but later is probably best. We will keep you posted closer to the date when we know an actual completion date. 11.01.2022 Our new additions to the garden at Dampier Bowling Club. Generously donated by a Dampier resident who is leaving town soon. The root structure on these are a lovely feature. Lets hope they survive the forthcoming possible cyclone.

05.01.2022 PAID HELP NEEDED OR VOLUNTEERS :-) ...Dampier Bowling Club - great opportunity to meet more locals. While our club rooms are closed for cyclone renovations, we still have bowling events happening Friday nights and some times other nights/days for functions. We estimate our club rooms to be open end of September or mid October and will need additional bar staff. HOURS OF OPERATION 5:30PM only usually to about 8:30 of 9pm. Some nights later. Basically when the last person l...eaves or is only drinking softdrink in the Chinese, we close - SO NO OR NOT MANY LATE NIGHTS. So now, we have hours available for Friday night and for functions but after our renovations, our bar will be open Tuesday to Sunday and will need a bar manager Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Hours are flexible with our other bar manager so we can swap and change around as needed - we are very flexible. Pop down to the Bowling Club today between 9:30am and 1pm or phone me on 0417979587

We need to consider the health of our members and guests. PARTY TIME WHEN WE REOPEN FOR BUSINESS. 02.01.2022 Wow what a morning cleaning up at the Dampier Bowling Club. Thanks heaps to Julie Bardsley who helped me (Roz Powell) in the front gardens, Carol Luce for cleaning up down in the toilet block area, Roady for general tidy up of garden rubbish and removing some huge damaged shrubs. AND A HUGE THANKYOU TO THE MAJUN CONSTRUCTION CREW who got straight into helping out with the larger tree damage. Great crew of workers. Would have taken us ages without their assistance. Great to have a local company helping the locals. Thanks again guys. Tomorrow, Sunday i believe our guys may be down at the club putting the fencing wire back up. Pm me for details if you may be available to assist.
