18.01.2022 Dan Ryan, CEO Scouts SA has reissued the invitation for emergency accommodation for those displaced by the South Australian fires. In an engaging interview this afternoon with David Howard on FIVEaa, Dan also announced that Scouts SA's Woodhouse Activity Centre is offering free day visits for those affected by the fires. This offer is also open to all CFS and emergency service personnel to spend a day out with their families, now, or after the crisis when mop up is complete. ...Dan Ryan said "Come up and enjoy the tube slide, the giant maze, challenge hill and other activities in the cool, green environs of Woodhouse Activity Centree with our thanks, and spend some time with your families". 15.01.2022 What a great time Scouts had at the Show Thank you to the 14,000 children who completed our free activities at the Royal Adelaide Show. Thanks to the parents for engaging with us too! Over 500,000 visit the show each year and nearly everyone would have seen our fantastic new branding on Show in the Jubilee Pavilion. If you haven't had a chance to contact a Scout Group to see how you can Come and Try for free then click here or free call 1800SCOUTS. We have Scout Groups right ...across SA open to boys and girls age 5-25. Thank you to our Chief Commissioner and our team of over 100 volunteers who engaged with these 14,000 young people and their parents at the Show. 14.01.2022 Scouts SA has a long history of honouring our past and current service men and women. Every community across South Australia is used to seeing our young people participating in youth vigils, dawn services and assisting to carry emblems and flags at the Anzac day parades. This year, although we cannot honour them in the same way we are encouraging families to help the RSL light up the dawn and use the time they spend making poppies as a time of reflection and discussion with their families.
