20.01.2022 Ebaney was born and raised in spectacular Kempsey NSW. At present she has completed the Higher School Certificate, at St. Paul’s College Kempsey. 2021 will be Ebaney’s last year of Dance Teaching for DCSOD, as she transitions into studying with the University of Newcastle in the area of Secondary Teaching. At the age of 10 she showed a love and passion of dance. Ebaney has trained with Danae Cantwell School of Dance since 2014 in the dance areas of Jazz, Hip pop, Ballet, Mus...ical Theatre, Contemporary, Modern and Bollywood. This dedication for the foundation of dance has led her to volunteer as a dance helper on Saturday mornings for Danae. At a school level she was awarded an accommodation award for choregraphing a dance piece. From 2017 Ebaney taken focus on teaching and choregraphing for Danae Cantwell School of Dance. Ebaney completed the foundation of certificate II in Dance and selected units from certificate III in Dance. For the last 7 years Ebaney has attended the Australian dance festival in Sydney, where she danced and learnt alongside some of Australia’s professional dancers such as Timomatic and Marko Panzic. She had the pleasure of dancing down the main street of Disney land California. This event allowed for her to participate in workshops with the elite dancers from Disney land. Ebaney dedicates her time and commitment to eisteddfods locally and out of area. Where she continues to participate in community events such as performance at the local markets, the Kempsey show and attendance within local dance workshops. Ebaney is most grateful to be part of a wonderful team at Danae Cantwell School of Dance. Miss Ebaney is looking forward to an exciting and positive 2021 with DCSOD.

18.01.2022 Meet our teachers!! Ellen grew up dancing on the mid north coast. During high school, she was awarded a scholarship to attend St. Columba Anglican School. During her time there, she was accelerated for HSC dance and was apart of the Dance Honours program. Ellen was nominated for ‘Callback’, a showcase of exemplary performances and compositions, for all three of her HSC dance components, to which she performed her core performance in. In the Dance Honours program, the team wa...s selected to perform in Sydney Eisteddfod’s televised Dance of the Champions, which features the most outstanding troupes of the season. After school, Ellen furthered her dance training, studying at Lee Academy Dance and Performing Arts. She is trained in Broadway and commercial jazz and heels, classical ballet, lyrical, contemporary, musical theatre, aerial lyra and silks, acrobatics, cheer dance and stunts, pitching and partnering, physical theatre, singing, acting and tap. Ellen holds her Advanced Diploma in Elite Performance, Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management and Certificate IV in Arts Administration. She has also completed her RAD Advanced Two. After completing her full time training, Ellen signed to JLD Entertainment and has performed in various commercial and corporate work with leading industry professionals. Some highlights include, performing at The Star Casino and the International Convention Centre for events such as Chinese New Year and CEO awards nights. Performing in both seasons as a featured dancer in ‘Le Freak’, artistically directed by Keith Hawley. Performing as a cheerleader for the Central Coast Mariners and cheerleading for Usain Bolt. Receiving the ‘Golden Buzzer’ in both the initial round and semi final round of Australia’s Got Talent as a team member in the acrobatic company ‘aKrobatiKa’. She has had the opportunity to perform various times at the Australian Dance Festival, other gigs across Sydney and the Central Coast, and in 2018 Ellen was the top scoring industry competitor at Coast Quest National Championships. Ellen is so grateful to be apart of DCSOD and is excited for an amazing 2021. See more

15.01.2022 A huge congratulations to our beautiful and talented Destani!!! I have been dancing since I was about 4years old and it has continued to bring joy to my life. DCSOD is not just a dance school to me it is my second home and everyone involved is part of a fantastic dance family where we all support and encourage each other to be the best we can. Dance for me has provided a great balance in my life by keeping me fit and active, allowing me to express myself, giving me a sense o...f belonging and stabilising my mental and emotional well-being. The opportunities DCSOD has given me are endless some of which have included performing in numerous eisteddfod competitions, participating in the Australian Dance Festival, attending many workshops led by world renowned choreographers at a number of recognised leading dance companies, travelling overseas to dance in the Main St Parade Disneyland USA, and most recently I have successfully gained a Dance Scholarship to attend St Columba Anglican School for year 11 & 12 where I will be undertaking studies in Dance, Drama & Entertainment as part of my HSC. DCSOD certainly has been the platform that has assisted me greatly in developing my independence, building my self-confidence and acceptance and I will be forever grateful to Miss Danae, all the teachers and my ever growing dance family. 15.01.2022 MEET OUR 2021 TEACHERS! Principal - Danae Shore Miss Danae Started her training in Kempsey aged 3 at... Woodlands College for dance then successfully auditioning for Brent St full time performing arts school under Wayne and Jacqui Howard. In addition to all facets of dance, Danae trained in singing and drama whilst studying at Brent Street. Danae holds advanced certificates in Classical Ballet, Tap and Jazz and is trained in singing and voice and is also an HSC dance tutor. Danae trained for 3 years in singing with Jenny marks and competed successfully in local voice Eisteddfod’s during this time. Danae has developed a unique mentoring program to train students within DCSOD as teachers and has employed many students as teachers that have graduated through her program. Committed to professional development, Danae regularly views classes at prestigious schools and participates in training workshops She is proactive in implementing the most up to date and current techniques at DCSOD. Danae believes in nurturing each and every student and wants to instill a love of theatre, performance and the stage in each student while education the in the art and culture of dance. As a local, Ensuring the best possible teaching faculty to the dance school is her aim and Danae has a passion for implementing dance into country areas such as Kempsey to ensure that it is a positive, healthy activity for the youth of the town. Danae has a bus license and regularly takes students to workshops and events in the city areas so that her students have the same or similar opportunities as students in large cities Danae is looking forward to implementing more opportunities for her students in 2021

When she was older, She was recruited by Lesley Scott - owner of Dance Encore Productions where she was given contracts in Japan where she danced professionally for years. Miss Rachael has over 10 years teaching experience and is highly sought after amongst students and parents for her gentle nurturing demeanour and has prepared students for exams and competitions very successfully. Miss Rachael has certificate 3 in early childhood education and care and has years of experience working with young children and also special needs children from her years working at early intervention. She is looking forward to an exciting 2021 with our beautiful students!

13.01.2022 We are lucky enough to have the stunning Indigo Robb working closely with our students this year Indigo will be giving open class this Tuesday 13th January for juniors and seniors as well as private lesson coaching Inbox us to book - limited spaces due to Covid and they are already filling fast ... Indigo grew up on the mid north coast performing at eisteddfods and competitions. She was accepted to be part of The Australian Ballet School’s Interstate Training Program at age 11 and was later invited into the full-time program in Melbourne at age 13 and trained there for 6 years. Upon graduating Indigo travelled extensively in 2018 to the UK, Europe, Canada, and the US, visiting many world renown ballet companies. Indigo has danced professionally in Australia and overseas with The Australian Ballet, The Royal New Zealand Ballet and Ballet West Scotland. She has been fortunate to work with some of Australia's most prominent company directors, choreographers, teachers, and health teams. Indigo received a contract with a ballet company in Canada, however she instead decided to return home to Coffs Harbour to commence university and to share her passion by teaching dance. Her aim is to support young dancers in regional areas by sharing her knowledge and encouraging all dancers to reach their full potential.

04.01.2022 Spotlight on our graduates Our final graduating student is the one and only super @sallyjeffery16 I will be moving to Sydney in 2021 to attend Brent st performing arts. I will be part of the Brent street academy and will be completing my year 11 and 12 schooling at Brent street as well as dancing 6 days a week. I’m am so great full to be excepted into this amazing school as this has been my dream for so many years and I thank everyone that has helped me get we’re I am tod...ay. There is one special person that has had a big impact on my life and that is miss Danae. I believe I successfully auditioned for BSA because of miss Danae’s determinative coaching and her love and support she so dearly gives us. I started dancing at Danae’s when I was 4 years of age. In those 13 years of dancing at Danae’s I have learnt so much. She truly is the perfect dance teacher, she is tough when she needs to be, but is the most nurturing and kind hearted person I’ve ever met. She is definitely a role model that I look up to and see her as a person that I can talk to about anything. She has become a very important person in my life and I’m very thankful for that.
