Today we made white bean skordalia with grilled vegetables, dakos salad, prawn saganaki, spinach and dill pilaf and rose Turkish delight cigars with chocolate sauce. So good! Peter will open Alpha pop this week at Circular Quay... will be so good to have him open again!

06.01.2022 I’ve always spoken about our Gourmet Safaris going ‘behind the secret door’ and today it was a special entrance into a Greek double garage adjoining a grocery s...tore/cafe surrounded by greenery.. the decor of olive branches and citrus from Agatha Danas, the red wine used in our olive stew made by Dimitris Danas.. coffee demonstration and sweets to start from Agatha. This couple started a grocery store in Marrickville in 1962 and it’s still going strong, morphing into a cafe run by daughters Tina and Olga. Our class, the very first thing we’ve hosted since lockdown a brilliant cooking class of delicious, largely vegetarian recipes from treasured chef Peter Conistis, assisted by chef James Roberts.
