25.01.2022 Full detail on repeat clients gorgeous pearl white Mazda CX-5 today. Top up of protection inside and out and she’s good to go again for another couple of months. Exterior black lower plastic trim Around the car was also dressed to add a bit of pop to the overall finish. Always a real pleasure detailing this one

24.01.2022 Back to Hope Vale this morning, for an interior detail on regular customers Cruiser, although it has not been cleaned inside in quite some time, so I opted to wet vac all seats and carpets and the truck came up as new! Have a great weekend everyone!

23.01.2022 Double header today. Inside only detail of clients early model Hilux, followed by a wash and quick polish of the clients Softail Harley-Davidson. The metallic maroon really popped in the sunlight after applying the high gloss sealant to the tank and fenders

22.01.2022 I was warned yesterday by the client that I was going to be in for a massive day today and they were absolutely right haha! But I’m pleased with how this 79 series dual cab turned out. Some mould removal inside and red dirt staining outside taken care of as well as hoodlining clean, and for a work truck that has spent a many a trip to the top of the cape and back, it has turned out great.

22.01.2022 The downside of being a mobile detailer and working outside is that sometimes the weather wins and I have to call it a day early. That’s what happened yesterday while working on this Patrol. The rain and wind came howling through mid arvo and I was left with no choice but to pack up and bail and come back again today to finish the job. Sunny arvo and job complete! Early this morning I also did a double mattress clean for a customer that reached out. Something different!

22.01.2022 Spent a few hours on the inside of this 2018 Mitsi Outlander this morning. It was very dusty and had piano black trim for days. Always need to be cautious with that material as it scratches very very easily. I have an extra soft detail brush specially for it. The car looks brand new again!

20.01.2022 A last minute change of plans last night, and I was out at Hope Vale today, doing a maintenance wash for one of my regulars. I love this truck! Have a great weekend everyone!

20.01.2022 Photo overload today, but a very dirty car makes for an enjoyable detail, and some very satisfying before and after shots! 6 month old Harry Hilux got a bath today, and a very dusty interior taken care of too. Client cas recently been up to the tip, so plenty of red dirt present all around the vehicle in all the nooks and crannies. A long day but the car is as good as brand new and ready for the next big trip!

18.01.2022 My working week started today, today was my Monday and I was at Hope Vale detailing this lovely blue 3.0 Hilux. 8 years old and customer told me it’s the first time it’s ever been detailed. Came up a treat! Hope you all had a great weekend!

17.01.2022 I love this truck. Thanks Maggie for having me back again to detail your Hilux. Just like last time, it was chock-a-block caked in Weipa red dirt, on the paint and all underneath. This Lux definitely gets used for what it’s intended for! But with the quality products and tools I use, it was so easy to clean and came up awesome. 16.01.2022 Over the last few days I have been at Cape York Tyres Detailing three seperate vehicles. Interior and exterior on the little work use, interior and exterior on a Nissan X-Trail and today I did exterior plus paint enhancement with orbital polishers on a 79 series dual cab Cruiser. Thanks to Jake and the crew there for the work and the hospitality!

16.01.2022 No before photos today, I got stuck straight into this almost brand new Prado as soon as I got there, but I regret not taking any as this car was absolutely caked in red dirt mud on the outside, particularly door jambs and wheel wells and scattered in grass on the inside. Being an almost brand new car, for cleaning the hard surfaces on the interior such as door inserts, dash and centre console, I opted for my 2 in 1 cleaner (cleaner and dressing), which as you can see leaves a lovely streak free, matt finish, returning the vehicle to brand new appearances

16.01.2022 With school holidays around the corner things are quieter this week at DTD. But that doesn’t mean that Dan is sitting at home twiddling his thumbs watching Netflix! Having such a passion for detailing even on my days off chances are you’ll find me still doing something detailing related. I’ve had this test panel on the workbench, trying out new polishing compounds and pads and testing different paint sealants side by side to see how they compare and ensuring that they meet my extremely high expectations. Have to say I am very pleased with the mirror like shine on this test panel now

14.01.2022 Spent the last two days with the crew at Cooktown Autos interior detailing two of the service vehicles. Wednesday was a V8 Cruiser ute with carpet floor and today was a 4.2 tin dash Cruiser ute with vinyl floor. Red dirt dust gone and ready for the road again!

12.01.2022 Transformed would be the only way to describe the finish of this current shape dual cab Hilux I detailed at the Holy Spirit College yesterday, making for some very satisfying B&A’s!

12.01.2022 Quick one this morning, inside detail on regular customers 7 seat Mazda, including a gooey kids slime removal from the carpet which I thought might be a challenge to restore, but a simple home remedy removed it quite easily after some elbow grease.

11.01.2022 Was a pleasure detailing this 2019 VW Golf today. I decided to detail the exterior first today and the car was loaded with contamination on the paint and glass, so a very thorough two step decontamination process was needed to prepare the paint for a long lasting sealant to protect the car with around 6 months protection, and adding high levels of gloss and slickness. Inside I was greeted with leather seats (which is rare around here) and a large amount of pet hair in the ba...ck and boot. A solid hour or more on the vacuum was needed to remove it all, followed by my usual cleaning process of the hard interior surfaces, then dressed with UV protectant, followed by cleaning the leather seats with dedicated leather cleaning product and dressing with leather protectant. Finishing off with some tyre shine and a polymer based spray wax on the glass gives it that extra pop and rain repellancy. See more

09.01.2022 Back on the tools today. I know I haven’t posted since last Thursday, but it’s been a busy few days none the less!

09.01.2022 Kicked off the week with a detail of this second gen Prado in town. Lots of bug remover was needed for this one! Hope you all had a good start to the week.

07.01.2022 Back detailing at Cooktown Autos today, this time a Mazda 3 SP25. Same prices as yesterday except this time I opted for a spray and rinse sealant. So easy to apply and as you can see it leaves a lovely shine and will offer around 6 months of protection from the elements.

06.01.2022 Back at it today, interior detail on this Captiva. Full wet vac of the seats and carpets for a deep clean and stain removal, some proving much tougher than others, but all in all the car came up a treat

06.01.2022 Was a pleasure detailing this Nissan X-Trail at the Dept of Housing today. The car was pretty dirty inside and out but the quality materials combined with my quality products delivered the goods and the car looks stunning!

01.01.2022 Over the last day and a bit, iv’e had the pleasure of detailing the cabin of this 10m Bayliner cruiser. A very thorough, deep clean throughout with all soft surfaces including seat cushions, mattresses and floor carpets extracted with a wet vac, wall carpets scrubbed by hand or drill brush, (head) bathroom cleaned and galley also cleaned. Super happy with how it turned out and thanks to the client for reaching out! I thoroughly enjoyed the project and can’t wait for the next one!
