17.01.2022 This is so awesome! This is a PERFECT example showing how to achieve optimal ranges of mobility (based on your sport) you need to BALANCE it with achieving o...ptimal stability. This dancer wouldn't be able to maintain her alignment while producing large ROM at her right hip without being able to stabilise (dynamically) through her left hip, knee, ankle and all of those joints in the left foot too Trunk and shoulder stabilisation goes without saying with the bar over head! Athletes and artists who require large ROM to be successful in their field benifit tremendously from strength and conditioning work. Being strong is crucial when producing a lot of range. 10.01.2022 Miss Jamie here!! I am the new owner of Dance Expression. Dance Expression has been my home and life for the last 17 years! I grew up dancing at Dance Express...ion from the age of 5, began student teaching at 13 and teaching at 15. I am currently in my final year of completing a Bachelor of Dance Education at the Australian College of Physical Education which will qualify me to teach all genres of Dance and PDHPE in all settings, specifically High Schools. I am also certified with Acrobatic Arts, which allows me the teach and enter students into exams with this syllabus. 06.01.2022 Corrections Part 2: Take a correction with a good attitude! If you get a correction it means the teacher believes you are ready to receive it and capable of doi...ng it! The next step is for you to apply the correction. Don't waste time thinking you're being picked on, or embarrassed you were called out, or making excuses for why you didn't do it right. Just diligently work to fix it right away and to keep it correct for the next movements, next class and so on. As your instructors realize you take corrections and respond quickly they will give you more and more AND THAT is how progress happens! See more
