21.01.2022 After 3 nights of Griswolding, the annual Shire Griswolds Must See Lights Guide for 2019 is done. Seriously, what an awesome part of the world we live in. Even ...though we’re caked in smoke and covered in ash, the Shire Griswold spirit stubbornly shines. As always, we preface by saying there is no such thing as a bad light display. Every single twinkle light on every single house, tree, fence and hedge is as precious as the next. Hence, we don’t do a competition, as we believe if you make the effort to hang even a single strand of lights, you’re making our Shire a better place to live - and that’s a winner to us. Boy, there’s a lot to see in 2019. We tried to base the list on displays you’d park your car and go for a walk to enjoy. Not to mention, you’ll more than often see other displays en route to each illumination destination. Oh, and we personally eyeball each display, not simply copy and paste from last year. Takes three nights and a lot of driving and Maccas frozen Cokes, but it’s all in the name of illumination domination - and ensuring you get the best festive experience as you drive nana and the kids around. Naturally, we couldn’t fit every single place on the list. For instance: Rachel on Brooke Street in Engadine has created yet another masterpiece. Be sure to check her 16 Days Of Christmas Fundraiser Facebook page for times. National Ave at Loftus and Prince Charles Parade in Kurnell prove that size does matter. If you like reindeer, head to Tibooburra Street in Engadine. And while you’re in the area, head to Napier Street where you’ll see Brian’s bigger than ever display, complete with singing Santa and a snow machine! On Forest Road in Heathcote, you’ll even spot a Volkswagen bug parked in a driveway, covered colour. Dindima Place in Bangor looks an absolute treat. There’s a beauty on Thomas Mitchell Drive in Barden Ridge. And, of course, we now have the famous ‘DITTO’ display, on Bilga Street in Kirrawee. Look, we’ve probably missed a whole bunch. Which is where you come in. Feel free to add them below in the comments. We tried our best and if we did overlook an incredible street, we apologise. Hope you enjoy Shire Griswolding in 2019. 04.01.2022 Dear Inspiration Dance Family Firstly I would like to thank everyone for their amazing support at such a difficult time. I do hope that you are well and are in good health It is with great sadness and LOTS of tears, in light of recent instructions from our Government that we are to cease trade. Inspiration Dance Academy will be suspending face to face operation effective immediately We have sent out an email to everyone this morning PLEASE READ THIS. ... Despite the love that I have for dance our students and studio, the health and safety of our families and staff is of the utmost importance to me and is not something I would ever take lightly. I know that Inspiration Dance Academy is home to the most supportive, kind and caring dance families that I have ever encountered. However, this is only a hurdle on the track. You my dance family have kept me positive over the past few weeks and my focus right now is coming back stronger than ever!! We have some REALLY EXCITING things planned for the whole family! (Yep that’s right THE WHOLE FMAILY!!!) Our focus is how we keep students exercising, dancing and some normality through such a difficult time in all our lives, but also giving students something to look forward too. We will be working on some exciting events that will occur throughout this year!!!! Keep those eyes on your email!!!! I am really going to miss seeing you all in person but as always IDA is a family not just a studio and we will definitely get through this and rise with a bright future ahead.
