22.01.2022 DANCE, DANCE, DANCE 2020...Rona Edition! Due to current Covid restrictions everything is a little different this year and that includes our concert. However, we are very excited and feeling very blessed that we can still push ahead with having our concert in the Theatre. Our audience will be VERY limited due to social distancing requirements. CONCERT TICKETS are strictly limited and at this stage will not be going on sale to the general public through the MECC. The tickets ar...e a little more expensive then previous years as we only have 1 Show and approx 300 seats to sell but all those little extra's that you are use to seeing when you come to a DA Concert definitely didn't get the chop There are still a few tickets available so if you are interested in attending our 2020 Concert please get in touch by sending us a message We are very excited to be presenting a special edition concert filled with new routines, amazing costumes, incredible lighting and most importantly our beautiful and talented students!! 15.01.2022 2020...what a year!!! We started with a bang and along come Covid-19 so we Zoomed our way through 12 weeks of online classes. Together we stayed connected, got creative with activities and even got to dance with some of our favourite choreographers in our lounge room. When we got back to the classroom we made sure to fill the calendar full of opportunities for the DA dancers. First up saw us perform at the Mackay Festival Sessions live streamed event. We also received some ...of our best results to date for our annual Dance Exams. Afternoon Tea dates at Harrup Park before performing at the Mackay Basketball for the CQ Cup. Restrictions were lifted just in time for our end of year Concert to nearly run as normal and it was an absolutely amazing night full of love and sparkles! A huge thank you to our amazing teachers Miss Chelsea, Miss Katrina and Miss Ella for their constant support, encouragement, hard work, love and attention to detail. These three ladies always go above and beyond and we are all so lucky to have them apart of Team DA! To our DA Students you have had the most challenging year but every time you have risen above and shown the world just how strong you are. Your teachers and I have watched you learn, grow, improve and come together as a team. We have all had so much fun together and have loved teaching you all. This year we saw so many amazing friendships blossom and we are so proud of the kind and beautiful humans you are. Thank you for such an amazing year! Our DA parents, you are the real superstars this year!! Your lounge room became a dance studio for 12 weeks and Meeting ID’s and Passwords became the new normal. Every single last minute change that had to be made due to restrictions saw you all be so understanding and supportive. Thank you for coming together to help our school and each other. It was so warming to see everyone come together this year. Your support in 2020 will never be forgotten as without it our dance school wouldn’t have survived the Covid lock down. Despite the challenges that Covid has caused we really have had the most amazing year. Thank you Dancers, Parents, Helpers and Teachers for the memories in 2020!! 2020 won’t be forgotten and I am so blessed to have been on this journey with you all. Together we did it Have an amazing New Years Eve with your family and friends and we can’t wait to see you next year!!
