It's with mixed emotions that we announce that Marie and John have officially retired. After 42 years of running retail businesses in Gympie, Mum and Dad have certainly earned a rest!... My daughter Chantelle and I are very grateful and excited to have inherited the dancewear business from Mum & Dad and incredibly proud to be able to keep the business in the Sawrey family moving forward. For those of you who don't know, my parents opened their first retail business Sawrey's Sports Store in Gympie way back in 1978 and my first part-time job was as a retail assistant in that store. Through the 90s Chan spent many happy hours beside her grandparents in their later ventures, Body Options and Cooloola Fabrics & Blinds. A huge thank you is due to my sister Ange and our husbands Matt and Lindsay and our friends Anna, Christine, Emerson and Amalia for assisting us with the move from Pine Street to Gympie CBD. Chan and I look forward to supplying quality dance products and providing friendly service to all dancers, acrobats and gymnasts in the Gympie region and beyond.
