During Winslet's wedding to Ned Rocknroll, her good friend & co-star Leonardo DiCaprio walked her down the aisle. Real glamour comes within; it only shines when there are confidence and substance. This philosophy also shows in our designs. We rarely use crazy prints that are most in-trend and eye-catchy. Instead, our choice of fabric tends to be classic & timeless. 24.01.2022 Shout out to our beautiful poler @faypole_29 Fay got in touch with us when shes looking for something special for her birthday, and whats a better gift than a new pole outfit! She said she wanted special rather than day to day pole wear. When Fay received the leotard dress, she took it out for a spin (literately, lol).... We would like to share Fays pole story with all of our audiences I have been doing pole for the past five years and have never looked back. I really enjoy taking part in the summer show that is put on by my pole studio every year, which I do a solo routine for, unfortunately, this has been put on hold at the moment. But I found this one piece that is perfect for a show including the sidecut which gives me the ability to be able to do any moves and still have grip. I could not resist. In lockdown and doing more pole at home, I have enjoyed doing more flow and moving around the pole which this piece is perfect for, makes me feel special. My favourite moves are Ayesha and Superman. Believe it or not, she is one of our first customers from Canada! After following her on IG, we fall in love with her beautiful long legs. Her IG recorded the journey in getting to know pole fitness - the first brass monkey, the first layback How authentic and inspiring!... Archana wrote a few words to us: As females, we doubt our bodies and strength nonstop. It is like apart from others, we judge ourselves, and our confidence takes a beating. I was someone who was like that, really thin and somehow wanted to break this jinx. Pole was that key to not only get confidence in myself and show me my true strength but also helped me express my emotions and feeling. Baum took up boxing in the late 1920s in a boxing studio. She was one of the very few women who trained there, and asserted her independence as a "New Woman". Baum was also a musician playing the harp. We dance because there is no greater feeling in the world than moving with the music and feel the worries and stress disappear. Luigi had an accident when he was 21. His right side of his body was paralysed. After been told he will never walk again, Luigi never gave up dancing. In the rehabilitation process, he created the Luigi warm Up Technique. Three U.S. presidents have mentioned Luigi by his work. As dancers, we are often so busy in training techniques, learning the latest tricks, memorising new choreographies. Elie Wiesel (19282016) Wiesel is a Romanian-born American writer, professor, political activist, Nobel laureate, and Holocaust survivor... His friend Francois Mauriac encouraged him to write Night. One must speak out, said Mauriac. Night was translated into 30 languages with ten million copies sold in the United States. In 1986, Wiesel was awarded the Nobel Prize for his humanitarianism. In the studio, we learnt skills, disciplines, trust and respect. These qualities have established a solid foundation to form strong and lasting friendships. A Lion lay asleep in the forest, his great head resting on his paws. A timid little Mouse came upon him unexpectedly, and in her fright and haste to get away, ran across the Lion's nose. Roused from his nap, the Lion laid his huge paw angrily on the tiny creature to kill her. "Spare me!" begged the poor Mouse. "Please let me go and someday I will surely repay you." The Lion was much amused to think that a Mouse could ever help him. But he was generous and finally let the Mouse go. Vicki shared her story with us: I took my first pole class in 2016. I love fitness, especially strength training. When I started exercising, I couldnt do a single push-up, and my first in life front split happened at the age of 32 . She became a dancer in part because she knew women could be pioneers in the field. Tharp has choreographed 129 dances and ballets, 12 TV specials, 6 movies, 4 Broadway shows, and 2 figure skating routines. What Tharp said is especially relevant to us in the current environment. In 2020, our studios might be closed, competition and showcase might be cancelled, we might not be able to leave home for most time of the day. 03.01.2022 Laureen aka Polerinaelle, has a background in ballet, but it wasn't until 2018 when she moved to Albuquerque that she began her pole journey. She has been looking for a way to destress from her studies. Through pole, not only has she found her destress pill, but she has also rediscovered her passion for dance.
