25.01.2022 After seven months of online classes, Dancenorth is thrilled to announce the recommencement of in-person Vital Dance classes, for people affected by Parkinson's Disease, their friends, family and supporters. . 10:00am Tuesdays, from 3 November Riverside Community Gardens Centre (55 Riverside Boulevard, Douglas) $5 per person... Classes are 60 minutes, followed by a cup of tea together. . I have mostly motor skill decline due to Parkinson’s. Doing normal exercise classes is helpful in regaining muscle strength especially for the core. If you add music, coordination and (loads of) good humour, the effect on my motor skills has improved greatly. I don’t think I’m a threat to the Bolshoi Ballet, but I am a threat to Parkinson’s Disease. - Ivor Preston, Vital Dance participant . . . Image by Amber Haines See more
