22.01.2022 New enrolments welcome!!! This is the post I have just placed on our parents' page but we are welcoming new enrolments too... Hi everyone, this is what the timetable is going to look like... Monday 3.30pm-4.10pm Tap up to 6 years... Monday 4.15pm-5.10pm Tap 7-9 years Monday 5.15pm-6.15pm Tap 10 years and up, including adults Tuesday 3.30pm-4.10pm Hip Hop/Jazz up to 6 years Tuesday 4.15pm-5.10pm Ballet 7 years and up (we will make all ages work!) Tuesday 5.15pm-6.15pm Hip Hop/Jazz 7 years and up No Saturday classes for now but I will keep you posted!! Given that options are limited, we are very happy to be flexible with ages to ensure that everyone gets the chance to return to dancing!! I will be sending out invoices next week to those who have expressed an interest in returning so please let me know if this timetable changes your plans. We hope to see you soon and thank you for your ongoing support. XX

20.01.2022 Hello everyone, we hope you are staying well and sane!! I love the idea of families dancing together and these are so simple and lots of fun, many of them you will already know. For the sake of your mental and physical health... DANCE!! XX

19.01.2022 It is with a heavy heart that we advise that all DanCentral classes are cancelled for the rest of term 1 and all of term 2, effective immediately. There are no classes from today and Monday families have been texted due to the short notice. Please share this information with other DanCentral families. I had pledged that we would continue whilst schools were open, but last night's message regarding closures related to COVID-19 has made me re-evaluate. Although we like to ...think otherwise, we are a non-essential service. Can you believe it?? :) The safety of families and the community is the priority. If we return in term 3, and we pray that we do, I will credit the 2 weeks of fees for Monday-Wednesday families and one week of fees for Saturday families. If we are unable to reopen in term 3, I will be seeking bank account details so that I can refund that money. Term 4 plans are not foreseeable at this time; we will know more if we return in term 3. Singlets and T shirts will not be ordered at this time. If you have paid, please email me your bank account details so that I can return those funds. Email through Enquire Now on the website. Miss Britt and I will post dances and links in the coming weeks to keep our little dancers moving! I will not be streaming regular classes. I am aware that some studios will do this, particuarly those working towards exams. Take care everyone, and please feel free to message me with any questions. XX

If you have enrolled and not received an invoice (apart from those with whom I have discussed invoicing), please let me know as they have all been sent. Please also check your JUNK or OTHER boxes. 09.01.2022 You are very welcome to enrol any time... We have had enquiries about whether it is too late to enrol. Absolutely not! For those of you who are not ready to make a commitment yet, you are very welcome to come along in term 2, no problem at all.

08.01.2022 CLASSES AS NORMAL... Hello everyone, we will continue to hold classes as usual unless it is recommended not to in coming weeks. The health and wellbeing of our families is paramount and we will take professional advice and guidance from Queensland Health. Most importantly, if your child is unwell, please keep them home and let us know they are not coming. If you are unwell, please do not wait in the foyer with other parents and families. If your child has been to a class... within the week and becomes unwell with respiratory symptoms, please ensure they see a GP and let us know of any concerns that you have so that we can keep others safe. Please ensure your child has cleaned their hands before coming to class and we will keep them as safe as possible in class. It is impossible to mitigate every potential risk; please take on the hygiene advice that is readily available to all and we will make sure the children continue to have fun at dancing. :) Easter is just around the corner so hopefully we can get through the next couple of weeks before we can take a breath and see how things pan out on a local level. Thank you for your consideration.

08.01.2022 These kids are rock stars! Miss Britt and I are so impressed with all the dancers, including our adult tappers! Our previous students have jumped straight into the new year and been very welcoming to the new starters. Our new starters are joining in so well, and I just couldn't believe how well the Leaps class did today! Such fast learners!! For those who have trialled classes and are continuing, please enrol via the website. Thank you for your support. XX

07.01.2022 Sadly, we are closing at the end of term 4 and we are not accepting new enrolments.

07.01.2022 OK, so here's what we know so far... -We will not be able to hold classes at QCWA on Saturdays as they are not hiring the hall out. I am not yet sure if I will find an alternative, I will keep you posted. -Mondays and Tuesdays will be at Beaches Church, there will be no Wednesday classes. The church will confirm this on Wednesday but there should be no problem. -We will hold tap classes Mondays. -We will hold ballet and hip hop/jazz classes on Tuesdays.... -Class times will be sorted in the next couple of days. -There will be less division of age groups (likely just 2 for ballet and HH and 3 for tap including Tricks/adults) and we will just be creative and flexible to ensure everyone is learning at their level. -I don't know whether there will be a concert yet. Very importantly, I will need every parent who brings children to class to clean down the space they have used before they leave and everyone will need to practice the precautions that have been part of our everyday lives. Staying safe will be everyone's responsibility. I will be posting updates as well as some exercises for children to practice over the school holidays, as well as presenting a challenge for them to create a little routine of their own... stay tuned!! Thank you for your patience everyone. Miss Britt and I have had to make some changes to our work lives outside of DanCentral so there have been many things to consider.

06.01.2022 Saturday classes... I am so sorry but I have made the decision to cancel Saturday classes this week (29th Feb) as I am unwell and I certainly don't want to infect any of those little dancers!! I can either refund you for the class or provide a credit next term, please just let me know your preference either by message or when I see you next week. I will be emailing and texting but if you could let me know by PM or post if you see this before I send messages tomorrow, it would be much appreciated. Please also spread the word if you know others in the class. So sad but know it is the best choice for everyone's health! See you all 7th March. XX

04.01.2022 Reminder... no classes Saturday 21st March as the hall is not available. Classes will be back to normal with extra hygiene precautions from Monday unless circumstances change. Have a beautiful weekend everyone, stay well. X

02.01.2022 Awaiting advice... Scott Morrison has announced that a decision and announcement will be made tonight regarding schools remaining opened. If we are told that activities such as dancing should be cancelled, that is, of course, what we will do. For now, we are continuing with social distancing and hygiene measures in place, but please keep an eye on the Facebook page as this is the way that I will be communicating with everyone. I hope to see you all this week as planned. If people have already made a decision regarding next term (and I totally expect that you are already considering plans to keep you and your family safe) please PM or email me so that Miss Britt and I can make plans for term 2. The soon we know your plans, the better. Wishing you all good health. XX

01.01.2022 Singlets and T shirts... Many of our students have DanCentral singlets and T shirts. While they are certainly not compulsory, we love seeing the children in our logo and it helps them feel part of a team. I will have sample sizes from next week and they will be available to order at $30 each. Orders will close at the end of March and the items will be available a week or two after that. I won't go ahead with orders until payments have been made. There will be an order form available with the samples. For those interested in Performance Group from term 2, the uniform will be required for some events so please order one if you would like to be a part of this group. :)
