We are extremely humbled and super thrilled to announce that we have been selected as a FINALIST in the Central Coast Local Business Awards for 2020!!! This was based on our supporters voting for our beautiful little studio and we are so thankful and grateful to you all! ... Huge credit goes to our DREAM TEAM of teachers and administrators!!!! You girls amaze me each and every week!!!! Coming into our 20th year of operation and after the crazy past 8 months it has been- what an amazing special suprise for us all!!!!! Thanks again everyone! I have been at Dancinality for 11 years. Why do you dance? I was born into dance practically and recently gained a stronger passion for it. It makes me feel free. All-time favourite pantomime? 2007 Will You Marry Smee, 2019 Catch Smee If You Can What style of dance do you connect with the most? I love hip-hop and tap. What style of dance challenges you the most? I find ballet and lyrical challenging. What do you do with your time when you are not at the studio or school? Listen to music, make up dances, play with my siblings and do art. What are you most looking forward to this year? 20th Anniversary and Rehearsal #1 Why do you love being a part of the Dance Step Program? I love helping people, and like watching children improve and smile. What’s the funniest thing that has ever happened to you on stage or backstage? I forgot to bring my prop on stage with me during an acting scene in 2019 and out of nowhere, perfect timing, my husband Clifford (Sarah) slid it on stage ready for me to use and no one knew.

Hip hop challenges me the most What do you do with your time when you are not at the studio or at school? I practice my dances and spend time with family and friends What are you most looking forward to this year? I look forward to spending this very big year with the people I love most Why do you love being a part of the Dance Step Program? I love seeing the little ones grow, learn and become beautiful dancers What’s the funniest thing that has ever happened to you on stage or backstage? I accidently kicked my prop off the stage in the middle of a dancer when I still needed it

Tiny Tumblers, Primary Hip Hop & Primary Jazz How long have you been with Dancinality? 6yrs, since 2015 Why do you dance? I dance because it’s what I love to do. I love learning and moving to music in ways that make me feel accomplished and happy. All-time favourite pantomime? My favourite was Colour Smee Happy What style of dance do you connect with the most? I find I connect with contemporary/lyrical the most because most of the time it has a storyline and I get lost in the music when dancing these styles. What style of dance challenges you the most? Ballet definitely challenges me the most. There is a lot to understand and apply and I haven’t been doing it as long as the other styles. What do you do with your time when you are not at the studio or school? If I’m not doing homework, I will be reading, cooking or watching Netflix. What are you most looking forward to this year? I am looking forward to being in the senior age group and I’m excited to be pushed and to improve. Why do you love being a part of the Dance Step Program? I really enjoy working with kids and not only do I get to assistant teach them, I gain so much confidence and learn so much. What’s the funniest thing that has ever happened to you on stage or backstage? It wasn’t funny at the time, but one of the comps in 2019 we did a cheer routine, and it was a complete mess. Everyone was going at different times, I did something very interesting in the travelling, I don’t even know what it is, which I tried to cover up and then the lift didn’t work. It was very scary.

I love being a part of the Dance Step Program as it helps broaden my knowledge of dance while I get to help younger students learn and grow as dancers. What’s the funniest thing that has ever happened to you on stage or backstage? Last year I was backstage doing a quick change and I changed into the wrong costume and at the last minute I realised & had to really quickly change before I missed my dance.

06.01.2022 It’s been over 5 months since COVID started affecting our studio and one major thing we’ve noticed is not having our wonderful dance parents here in the studio with us..... no watching weeks, no social time, no matter xtra support from mum and dad This week (being W5) should have been a watching week...... but as we can’t have any extra here in the studio with us we are going to bring your child’s dance class to you!!! All week our teachers will be going live in our Priv...ate studio page DANCE FAM and showcasing all your children’s classes so you can see what they have been working on! As sometimes we have up to 3 classes running at the one time - we can’t give you an exact schedule - only that show & tell will occur somewhere in the last 15 minutes of your child’s lesson! Please please please jump into the comments and give praise and applause to ALL of our fantastic little dancers! They have been truly AMAZING through this very stressful time so let’s all work together and help build their confidence and self belief!!!!!! #dancinality #weregoinglive #teamorangeandblack
