23.01.2022 An opportunity to watch a modern ballet classic with Shakespeare’s story and Christopher Wheeldon’s choreography (Alice in Wonderland fame amongst everything else) . Make sure you stay tuned for streaming details.

23.01.2022 Mother of all exercises- calf raises. All Dancing for Wellbeing Students would be familiar with these and how to do them as we we do them regularly after barre. As I always emphasise, DO NOT STRETCH THOSE CALVES immediately after. And, start with 8 and add a few repetitions to build up, DO NOT "go from zero to hero".

22.01.2022 For those who might be in the area.

21.01.2022 More ballet to binge on!!!!!

21.01.2022 First day back from lockdown and restrictions. Everyone was excited to be back in studio. Here’s one of the four classes today back at the barre- looking pretty good in spite of not dancing for 2 months.

18.01.2022 Another lovely Seniors ballet class today. Whilst most of the ladies have just over 2 years of dancing under their belt, everyone demonstrates wonderful control and musicality. I really enjoy working with them and witnessing their progress every week.

18.01.2022 EXCITING NEWS A diary from 1943 with handwritten poems from 1943 has been found and handed in to police on the 20th May 2020. It was found in Woolworths, ...Pacific Highway Gordon Centre, Gordon. After an extensive search, Ku-ring-gai Police Area Command have located two siblings of the late Margo Cooper. Sadly, Margo Cooper died on 10th March 2011, on the 3 June it would have been her 97th Birthday. Arrangements are underway to have the diary returned to the family of Margo Cooper for them to treasure. Ku-ring-gai Police Area Command would like to thank the Ku-ring-gai Historical Society and other members of the community for their assistants and sharing this post. More details to follow...

17.01.2022 How good are the tutus in Wednesday 9:45 Beginners Class!

14.01.2022 I started watching last night. A fun ballet with beautiful music. Some of my students should recognise one of the central melody from the ballet which we have danced our ports de bra (carriage of arms) to.

14.01.2022 When there’s a will, there’s a way. Determination is an ingredient to success.

12.01.2022 Today in Elementary Class, we focused on using our heads when we dance.

10.01.2022 Exciting News! Seniors Ballet Classes will resume on 16th June. There will be a limit of 10 participants in each class. We will probably need to balance out the class numbers for some of the classes, but we will do our best to ensure everyone who has been waiting to "jete" back to class will be able to resume. We will be executing the COVID Safe Plan- wiping down surfaces before and after class and extra time between classes etc., ensuring social distancing.... Please call 0497 453 068 if you are interested in joining our Seniors Ballet classes. We offer 11 classes of 4 different levels from Absolute Beginners to Advanced during the week. Looking forward to seeing everyone back in the studio and welcoming new faces.

10.01.2022 Beginners learning their chassé and Rond de Jambe.

08.01.2022 This is a ballet I’ve been wanting to see. Beautiful story, choreography and music. I cannot wait.

06.01.2022 It is such a joy to watch these ladies in Level 1 Seniors Ballet class embracing their learning. This series focus on arm coordination and they are nailing it. We learned a new plié today and this video is their first attempt at the exercise. Well done everyone.

06.01.2022 One of the Beginners classes learning a new Ports De Bra this morning while showcasing their freshly printed Dancing for Wellbeing T- shirt.

04.01.2022 It is not uncommon that students say they feel much better after having been to a ballet class. But always get advice from health professionals before undertaking our seniors ballet class if you haven’t been exercising.

04.01.2022 One of the Beginners Seniors Ballet classes practising COVID safe dancing this morning.

04.01.2022 Just beautiful. Can keep watching Nela.

03.01.2022 A great intro to the most important foundation in ballet technique- TURNOUT/ ROTATION- what it is and how to achieve it (and just as important, what it is not- over turning the feet which can lead to knee injuries).
